No Guides Today

Well, it is Easter and all and I have an unfortunate amount of stuff to finish.  This means that I will not be posting any guides today.  However, you can expect Halo Guides back up tomorrow along with the remaining video guides for Bioshock Infinite and the written guides.

See ya tomorrow.

The Challenges:
Threading The Needle - Kill 8 Players with a headshot in a single match. - 5000 XP
To score a headshot in Halo 4, you need a headshots capable weapon, which include the DMR, the BR, the Magnum Pistol, the Sniper Rifle, the Covenant Carbine, the Beam Rifle, the Light Rifle, and the Binary Cannon. You can also apparently score headshots with the Bolt Shot, but I hate that weapon. Anyway, since you will playing in the Team Objective or FFA Regicide playlists today, you can easily score headshots in those. If you are having trouble scoring those headshots, however, head for SWAT. SWAT gives everyone a DMR or BR and a Magnum pistol and no one has shields. That means lots and lots of headshots. Now, eight is not at all a lot so you probably will not even have to go to such extreme measures to secure these kills.

The Challenges:
Watchful Avenger - Kill 60 Watchers. - 20000 XP
Watchers are probably the most annoying enemies in Halo 4 and the ones that you also need to focus on and kill immediately as they can summon Crawlers and resurrect Knights. You always need to aim for the center portion of a Watcher as the rotors hardly take any damage when hit. As well, they will flee after a few shots so make sure they are in a generally open space if you are attacking them on the higher difficulties. In Episode Ten, you can score a large amount of Watcher kills due to the chapters being generally full of Promethean enemies. Chapter Two has nineteen Watchers to kills while Chapter Four has twenty-eight. Replay Chapter Four to finish this one off.

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
My general hope is that, today, this challenge will be completely taken care of for you by the other challenges. Thirty kills is not a lot to begin with so even without the other challenges this would only take two to three games to complete. "Not as Clumsy or Random..." and "Go Right Ahead Folks" will likely get you about twelve of so kills each but it is the "Make a Wish..." challenge that will bring in a bunch of kills as you will likely be playing several games to complete it. Regardless, this challenge will be taken care of.

Not as Clumsy or Random... - Earn 5 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
Thankfully, this challenge is very, very easy and should only take a single game to complete. The trick is to make sure that you are using the rights playlist and gametype for the challenge. For our purposes, needing kills with precision weapons (DMR, Sniper Rifle, Needle Rifle, and Covenant Beam Rifle), we will want to play in either the Team Snipers or Team SWAT playlist which use the Sniper Rifle and DMR respectively. Five kills will be easy enough to hit in a single game as you should be hitting ten to fifteen kills per game anyway. One game and then just move on to the other challenges.

The Challenges:

Rolling Thunder - Earn 5 Killing Spree medals. - 3000 XP
A Killing Spree in War Games is earned when you score five kills in a row. As this challenge stipulates "Killing Spree medals" other sprees such as weapon and miscellaneous sprees will not count. Now, you do not need five in a single game, just overall but even that can be a bit of a task with the current state of War Games Matchmaking. You will undoubtedly be playing games in the Team Objective playlist thanks to the "Baller" challenge and this is good because objective gametypes are typically the best for getting killing sprees. Complete "Baller" first and then move onto this one as you may get a spree or two while working on it.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/28/13

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Well, this is your typical challenge for a Firefight Thursday (which today is) and it will require absolutely no extra work on your end to complete. A hundred and twenty kills is what you would get on average if you completed a single game in the Score Attack playlist and even possibly in the Firefight playlist. "The T.G. Opposition" challenge will require two Firefight playlist games for about two-hundred kills while "A Simple Spree" and "Katanarama" will likely get done in the same games that you are already playing. Relax for this challenge.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
No need to really go in depth for this challenge. A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is when you score ten kills in a row without dying. This will be pretty much done in your first ten kills of whatever game you play today for Firefight. Thanks to the other Firefight Matchmaking challenges today, this will not even be hard to complete. You will likely need to play two games of Firefight today and, whichever one you do, this challenge will be completed almost immediately unless you are extremely unlucky or happen to really suck. Likely neither of those describe you, so an easy challenge none the less.

The Challenges:

In The Back - Assassinate 2 Players. - 3000 XP
Assassinations are not too hard to come by and, this time, you just need to score two assassinations overall, however. Now, to score an assassination, you need to go behind an enemy and hold down the melee button. An animation will then trigger that needs to mostly complete for the assassination to count. Now, Regicide, along with Team Snipers, is probably the best spot to score assassination in any sort of Slayer game since Team Slayer Pro was taken away. Generally, however, you will want to stick to objective games since you can then hide and ambush people. Basically, pick your poison for this challenge. Expect it to take a game or two to score these assassinations but complete the "Dominator" challenge first.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Well, a hundred and eighty kills today will definitely get taken care of by the other challenges as they will have you in every single mode of Reach. The "Heroic Court" challenge will get you about two-hundred and forty kills, the "Pod Kettle Black" challenge will get you probably sixty or so kills, and the "Go Right Ahead Folks" challenge will probably bring in about twenty to thirty kills. All in all, that is well over the a hundred and eighty kills needed to complete this challenge. Have fun today, I'm going back to working on some Bioshock Infinite guides.

Heroic Court - Kill 150 enemies on Overlook on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1125cR
I'm just now realizing, this should really be the challenge name for Courtyard, not Overlook. Wonder what happened there. Anyway, this is the lone Firefight Matchmaking challenge for today and will likely take you very little time to complete. Overlook is a mediocre map but playable with the right gametype. All though it can be annoying solo, your best bet for this challenge is the Score Attack playlist. Either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse will give you what you need for this challenge. Either gametype will net you a hundred and twenty or so kills, thirty less than what is needed for this challenge. That means you will need to do two games overall to complete this challenge.

The Challenges:

Deadeye - Kill 15 Players with a headshot. - 3000 XP
To score a headshot in War Games, you will need a headshot capable weapon. In Halo 4, these include the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle), the BR (Battle Rifle), the Magnum Pistol, the Sniper Rifle, the Covenant Carbine, the Beam Rifle, the Light Rifle, and the Binary Cannon. This is the typical number of kills being requested by 343i, so you should not be balking at fifteen headshot kills. Complete "Baller" first as you are likely to score some headshots there. The easiest way to score these headshots will be in a gametype like SWAT where almost all of the kills are headshots. You do not need fifteen in a single game so you can just play normally while you amass these headshots. It should not take more than two or three games but complete "Removalist" first. You will likely score some while working on it.

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
It seems that there is no need to go out of your way today for this challenge. It is completely taken care of by the other challenges today. Most notably, "Be Their Huckleberry" will score you about a hundred and twenty kills, "Leadership" element will likely score you a hundred or so, and "Credits for Completion" will likely bring in about a hundred or more kills. Regardless, this challenge is taken care of by the other so no extra work is needed by you. Just have fun today because the challenges are pretty easy.

Be Their Huckleberry - Kill 50 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the pistol. - 2500cR
This challenge will be very easy and simple to complete as long as you have the right playlist and gametypes. You will want to jump into Score Attack and play Gruntpocalypse. This gametype is all Grunts, which you can score easy headshots on, but, more importantly, it gives you a Magnum Pistol. Be wary of the Ultra Grunts which will take two headshots to slay, however. Just headshot fifty Grunts with it and you are all set as this is the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today so it will be done in a single, easy game.

The Challenges:

Spray and Pray - Get 15 kills with an Automatic Loadout Weapon. - 3000 XP
Automatic Loadout Weapons in Halo 4 include the AR (Automatic Rifle), the Storm Rifle, and the Suppressor. The Needler and the Chain Gun do not count for these challenges as you cannot equip them in loadouts. These fifteen kills, luckily, do not need to be in a single game and can be earned over the entire day. Whichever weapon you choose will depend on several things, the first of which being what weapons you have unlocked, the next being the type of combat you prefer. The Storm Rifle has the tightest spread but is the weakest while the Suppressor is the most powerful but is the most inaccurate. The AR sits in the middle being the best compromise to both weapons with a decently concentrated spread and good power behind it. I would stick to objective gametypes as they will allow you to get in close quarters and score these kills. Expect this challenge to take a game or two to complete so do "We Are The Champions" first.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Well, sparing this challenge today, you will be in multiplayer Matchmaking today so do not expect any help from the other challenges to get this one done. A hundred and twenty kill, however, is not a lot and should be completed in a single game. For this challenge, turn to the Score Attack playlist and then either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse. Whichever one is completely up to you but go for a large map so enemies do not accidentally kill each other or themselves. Remember, it may take one extra game to complete.

You Want This, Don't You? - Earn 12 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 3000cR
Lots of multiplayer Matchmaking challenges today and this one, asking you to hit fourteen kills in a single game with precision weapons (i.e. DMR, Sniper Rifle), may be a challenge for many. What you will want to do is to head for either Team SWAT or Team Snipers. I would pick Team SWAT as it will allow you to vote for some objective gametypes in Matchmaking. Objective games will allow you to get well more kills than slayer games due to the lack of a kill limit but it can sometimes be difficult to get precision weapons. Now, this will likely take a few tries, but keep at it. You need to play fifteen games anyway.

The Challenges:

Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Cloud, Catch and Tough Luck skulls. - Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Cloud, Catch and Tough Luck skulls. - 10000 XP
Gotta love this challenge name. I really hope it does not get fixed, to be honest. It is so unique this way and you will know it the moment you see it. So this challenge and the other Campaign Weekly Challenge, "Reclamation" only have one skull in common. This means that I would not recommend doing them together. Do them separately. For this challenge, the Cloud skull hides your radar, the Catch skull makes enemies through grenades more often, and the Tough Luck skull makes enemies dodge and go berserk more often. The easiest level to run through is Dawn and this can be done on Heroic difficulty and with friends. Sounds pretty damn easy to me, to be honest.

The Challenges:

Spartan Takedown - Kill 15 Players. - 3000 XP
These are easy, easy, easy credits. You only need to get fifteen kills today in War Games, overall for this challenge. Not in a single game or in a specific mode, just over all. For most people, this is probably a single game's worth of kills depending on the playlist. You will definitely be playing a few games for the "Raise The Flag" challenge and that will pretty much fully take care of this challenge. Even if you are not going for that challenge, just play a standard slayer game or jump into the Grifball playlist. In the end, this challenge should take no work to complete at all and, as I said above, just be easy free credits. Get to it.

Raise The Flag - Win 2 matchmaking Capture the Flag matches. - 5000 XP
Well, you need to win a bunch of Slayer games this week for the "We Are The Champions" Weekly Challenge. Along with that, you will need two Capture The Flag wins for this challenge as well. Regardless, Capture the Flag is a gametype where you need a communicative team to help you capture the flag, but also defend you own flag. The one shitty thing about capture the flag is that it often goes down to the time limit with no one getting the required five scores to win it. Most of the maps are simply too big for that. So, one way to speed it up is to pick smaller maps. Two games should not take terribly long to win so enjoy these very easy credits. They will probably not stay like this for too long.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/24/13

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
I am unsure whether or not this challenge will be taken care of today by the others. There is a chance, depending on how many enemies you run into while working on "The Little Guys" challenge but, most likely, you will end up short by about twenty or thirty kills. To take care of this, I would recommend a few games in multiplayer Matchmaking or a single game of Firefight Matchmaking. The choice is yours but either should suffice. Just have fun with it.

Tough Luck... On - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Tough Luck Skull on. - 2500cR
The Tough Luck skull causes all enemies in the Campaign to avoid your shots and dodge grenades more often. Since this does not really change the difficulty too much, most people should have no problem with this skull. As per the usual, the easiest way to complete this challenge will be doing a speedrun of the level Nightfall, which takes about seven to ten minutes. I would not recommend doing this with multiple players as that is likely to create other issues. A guide to speed-running through Nightfall can be found here. You can also just do a mission like Winter Contingency as it is really short and easy to complete but Nightfall is definitely the fastest mission. Before completing this, however, look below at the next challenge.

The Challenges:
Fully Automated - Get 10 kills with an Automatic Loadout Weapon in a single match. - 5000 XP
Automatic loadout weapon in Halo 4 include the AR (Assault Rifle), Storm Rifle, and the Suppressor. You will likely not get as many kills with these weapons as precision weapons without actively trying for them since the effective range of the weapons is so much less. Which ever gun you pick is up to you but this info my help you make a decision. The Suppressor has the widest spread but seems to have the most powerful shot. The Storm Rifle has the smallest spread but the weakest shots. The AR is pretty comfortable with a medium spread and medium damage, therefore making it the most deadly, in my opinion. Large team gametypes or objective gametypes on smaller maps like Adrift or Haven will serve you best for getting these kills. Ten isn't too large of a number, it just requires you to only be using these weapons.

The Challenges:
I Am The 99 Percent - Kill 20 Elites. - 10000 XP
I see this challenge has shrunk a bit from the last time we saw it. Before we needed forty Elite kills. Now, that is paired down a little. Now, the objective is to score forty Elite kills. Now, the best mission for this is the Episode three mission "Shootout in Valhalla." There are a ton of Elites that are dropped and, as well, every Banshee and Wraith gives you a Elite kill as well. On Heroic, a single solo game brought in fifty Elite kill. Play this level twice and this challenge is all taken care of. I would not recommend co-op for these challenges, as it will then take even longer to complete.

The Challenges:

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Ahh, a hundred enemies. Pretty much your standard challenge on a day like today, with such simple challenges. Thankfully, today's challenges completely take care of this and will require no extra work. "Not as Clumsy or Random..." will provide ten or so kills while "Five-time Champs" will bring in another seventy or so but you will get the most kills while working on the "That Pink Mist" challenge. Probably four or five games of Firefight will be required which is likely four hundred or so kills. As I said, not at all a challenge.

The Challenges:
Drilled - Get 10 kills with a Precision Loadout Weapon in a single match. - 3000 XP
Precision Loadout weapons in Halo 4 include the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle), the BR (Battle Rifle), the Covenant Carbine, and the Light Rifle. These are all the precision weapons that you can add to a customized loadout. Sniper, Binary Cannon, and Covenant Beam Rifle do not fall into this category. Now, some playlists, like SWAT, have you exclusively using these weapons and these are your best bets for completing these challenges. As all these games require sixty kills now, but your average number of kills should jump up a little putting ten definitely in range of a regular game. As well, objective gametypes are good for this challenge as there is no kill limit and you can exclusively use a precision weapons in your loadouts. This does need to be completed in a single game but should only take one attempt to complete.

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
As yesterday was Firefight Thursday, this is automatically Multiplayer Friday! Still doesn't make sense to me, as they should have been reversed, but whatever. Well, in all honesty, these other challenges will most likely not take care of this challenge for you. At most, they may amount to about a hundred kills but that will still leave you eighty kills short. For those remaining kills you can either stay in multiplayer Matchmaking, which will probably take five to six games to get the kills needed, or you can head over for a single game of Firefight matchmaking. The choice is entirely up to you.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 3 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Close quarters combat kills are typically made via the Shotgun, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Melee, or Assassination. The best playlist in which to get these kills is the Grifball playlist. Grifball will allow you to get all of those except for Shotgun kills since there is simply no Shotgun in Grifball. You should be hitting probably around thirty kills per game in Grifball so three kills will take very little time at all. To be honest, you probably will not even need to go into Grifball for this so do it last.

The Challenges:
The Kingslayer - Earn 5 Regicides. - 3000 XP
I wonder if 343i could go a week or two without having a Regicide challenge. It seems that they really love this gametype and I cannot figure out why because I loathe it. Alas, the like to keep us playing it with these challenges, it seems. Anyway, Regicides are earned when you kill the King in a Regicide match, whether Team or Free-for-all. Whether you play standard Regicide or Team Regicide, slaying the King should be a regular occurrence, though less often in Team Regicide because you have an entire team to contend with. If you find it hard to come by King kills, head to the standard (FFA) Regicide and you can easily rack up the Regicides needed in one or two games (it is not uncommon to get almost ten Regicides in Free-for-all).

Gears of War: Judgment is definitely bucking some trends of previous Gears games, like getting rid of D-pad weapon selection, but some things have not changed. All games have some form of collectibles now and Cog Tags are the ones for this installment. No need to worry about other collectibles, just the Tags of your fellow fallen Cogs. There are forty eight in total but we will do these section by section. Generally, you will see a red Cog Omen symbol near each tag, but not always right next to it. Expect one tag per chapter. Getting ten COG Tags will get you the "Never Forgotten" achievement, twenty-five COG Tags will get you the "Veteran Remembrance" achievement and finding all of them will score you the "Respect for the Fallen" achievement.

The Challenges:

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Well, this is your typical challenge for a Firefight Thursday and will require absolutely no extra work on your end to complete. A hundred and twenty kills is what you would get on average if you completed a single game in the Score Attack playlist and even possibly in the Firefight playlist. "Bulletproof" will require a Firefight playlist game, "Hyper Lethal Vector" will score you at least two-hundred kills, and "The T.G. Opposition" will net you another forty. Relax for this challenge.

Bulletproof - Complete 2 Rounds in a Firefight Matchmaking game without dying. - 2200cR
This will be the most irritating challenge of the day but your best bet for this one is in the four-player Firefight Playlist. A map like Beachhead or Glacier is likely the best for this challenge as you can utilize the jet-pack to hide up on the higher parts of the map. Now, for gametype, I would go for Sniper Fight or Arcadefight. Both of these gametypes grant you access to good power weapons that are effective at range. Utilize the other players and do not venture away from them. Being alone means that you will eventually be outnumbered. Strength in numbers is what you need for this challenge. Remember that you only need to survive two rounds for this one, but dying in the first round will render the game null and void for this challenge.

We Are The Champions - Win 3 matchmaking Slayer matches. - 7500 XP
Well, nothing wrong with still getting a bunch of experience points for this extremely easy challenge, is there? Again, definitely not complaining here. They could do challenges based on assists or something though. Now, the playlist that you play in for this challenge will largely depend on your personal preference and skill. Infinity Slayer, Big Team Infinity Slayer, SWAT, and Infinity Challenge Slayer are the options available to you, as well as Majestic Team DLC but that one has several gametypes to choose from. Be prepared to play well more than three games, however, if you are having little luck today. As well, try to get teammates with you who communicate, as that will make this all much easier in terms of scoring wins.

So, this challenge may or may not be completed by the other ones today. It really is up in the air and will be really decided by how you complete "A Simple Spree." If you play a full game, you will score a hundred and twenty kills but that falls to about ten kills if you do the Crashsite method. As well, whatever gametypes you choose for "The Magic Number" will also effect this challenge. I would aim for Grifball, as it lets you get almost thirty kills per game. Have fun today.

As this is the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today, I will say that you should probably stick to the Score Attack playlist for this challenge. With gametypes like Gruntpocalypse, 2X Score Attack, and Crashsite, this challenge will become extremely easy to complete. With Crashsite you can just die once you have the spree to end the game.

The Challenges:
Deft Hand - Earn 5 Combat Skill Medals. - 3000 XP
Combat Skill medals, as we all probably do not remember due to them being so obscure, include Killjoy, Headcase, From the Grave, Reload This, and Showstopper medals. You need four of these overall today and they do not need to be in a single game. Use precision weapons (DMR, BR, Light Rifle, Sniper) to score Headcase (headshot on a running target) medals and then use grenades when you are near death for the From the Grave medal. Reload This is pretty much dependent on the other player but people need to reload their weapons. Killyjoys and Showstopper are a bit more rare and harder to get so do not focus on them. Should take a game or two to complete. Aim for objective gametypes to complete this challenge. Work on "Raise The Flag" first.

Gears of War: Judgment Cog Tag Locations - Part II: Halvo Bay Military Academy

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Well, a hundred kills should take no time at all today and will be completed for you thanks to a single challenge. "Huck It, Luck It" will likely only provide very few kills, while "Close Talking" will probably bring in about forty to sixty kills. The real money-maker here, that will do all the work for you, is the "One Game, One Spawn" challenge. Since it requires you to complete a Firefight Matchmaking game, it will bring, at a minimum, a hundred kills. I would expect even more than that, to be honest.

One Game, One Spawn - Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game without dying. - 2000cR
For this challenge, you need to go an entire game without dying, which is likely harder than it sounds. In regular Firefight, there are three other players but the games needs to complete if you want to be awarded this challenge. The other option, which can be more challenging, is to player 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse. Go for a map like Beachhead or Glacier so you can hide and pick off the enemy. Remember, you must complete all waves for the challenge to pop. Gruntpocalypse or Arcadefight are probably your best bets for this challenge.

You will undoubtedly be playing games in the Team Throwdown or Extraction playlists thanks to the "Removalist" challenge and this is good because objective gametypes are typically the best for getting killing sprees. Complete "Removalist" first and then move onto this one as you may get a spree or two while working on it.

Review: Tomb Raider (Xbox 360)

This will be one of the first reviews I have posted on here, but it is something I want to start doing regularly. If you have any suggestions for this, tell me below as well as any games you want me to review in the comments and follow me on Twitter!

Tomb Raider Xbox 360 Cover

So, I am a little late with this one, but I only got the game a week after release and was busy reading as well so that is my excuse. Regardless, I did enjoy playing Uncharted with a female character Tomb Raider since, overall, the gameplay is solid and the story generally sticks together though there are some holes. I will soon post a shorter and, most likely, NSFW video review for the game. For the record, I played the Xbox 360 but the game is also available on the PS3 and PC.

Halo 4 Campaign Weekly Challenges - 3/18/13

The Challenges:

Prediction: Pain - Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Famine, Luck and Thunderstorm skulls. - 10000 XP
So, unlike previous weeks, this challenge is not requiring the same skulls as the mission specific one below. You could simply add on the Famine skull while running through Infinity but I would definitely not recommend it as ammunition is very precious in Halo 4. Instead, as usual, I would recommend that you run through the level Dawn on Heroic difficulty with the indicated skulls. Famine will cause all dropped weapons to have half as much ammunition, the Tough Luck skull will cause all enemies to dodge more often, and the Thunderstorm skull will upgrade all enemies. Adding Tilt and Mythic to that sound like a horrible idea to me for so little credits.

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 4000cR
This challenge, unless you go ahead and complete the Weekly Challenge today, will not be taken care of by the other challenges. That is just how it is. "Fire When Ready" will yield thirty kills and "L.D. Alexandria" will bring you maybe a hundred kills or so. That leaves you basically three-hundred kills short of this challenge. To rectify that situation, play Firefight as you will get a hundred and twenty kills per game. As well, completing the Weekly Challenge listed below will finish this off for you.

Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Well, I cannot be entirely sure whether this challenge will be taken care of today by the "Oops! All Kills" challenge. It simply depends on what kind of game and opponents you have in the Grifball playlist. Likely, the first game will get you to thirty kills and you will no longer need to worry about this challenge. If not, a quick second game of Grifball or whatever you wish will definitely take care of the remaining kills and let you in on these practically free credits. Do enjoy.

The Challenges:
Spartan Takedown - Kill 15 Players. - 3000 XP
These are easy credits, easy credits, easy credits. At least this is better than the challenge below which we had yesterday, but I will talk about that down there. You only need to get fifteen kills today in War Games, overall for this challenge. Not in a single game of in a specific mode, just over all. For most people, this is probably a single game's worth of kills depending on the playlist. You will likely have to play a few games for the "In Your Face" challenge and that will pretty much fully take care of this challenge. Even if you are not going for that challenge, just play a standard slayer game or jump into the Grifball playlist. In the end, this challenge should take no work to complete at all.

In Your Face - Earn 25 CQC Medals. - 5000 XP
There are three Close Quarters Combat medals in Halo 4 and they are the Melee, Beat Down, and Bulltrue medals. Remember that, for the Beat Down medal, when behind an enemy, just tap melee instead of holding it to perform a Beat Down. To get these, you will typically want to be on a smaller map in an objective oriented game as it will allow you to get as many medals as possible. Oddball is typically good for close quarters combat on the smaller maps, especially if you have the ball or can use the ball-carrier to draw people in close range. As well, standard slayer games will work well too, just not as many medals per game. I would expect to get about six or seven of these per game when actually trying, though you will not see the Bull True that often.
