Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/31/12

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Overall, the challenges today are sporting some pretty low credit values, which is a bummer since you do not even need to play a lot of games to complete these challenges. Regardless, the thirty kills for this challenge should be pretty easy to obtain. I am encouraging you to play Multi Team and Living Dead for the other challenges and, as those challenges can be done in one or two games, that should get you near thirty kills. You should be hitting ten to fifteen kill per game on average, and even more in Multi Team. Just play another game if you need to finish off these kills.

Showtime - Earn 5 assists in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1250cR
Now, you earn an assists whenever you deal at least forty percent damage to an opponent who is then kill by someone else. They call it an "assist", I call it "my kill being stolen". Either way, that is the name of the game for this challenge. Now, the best playlist I have seen for getting assists is Multi Team due to the large number of players and due to the large number of targets and people to steal kills from you. Go for smaller maps that have a large open space, like Countdown, and just hang near the open space taking down the shields and slightly damaging anyone who comes in there (besides teammates of course). You should be able to get this done in a single game and still get a bunch of kills to help with "Fire When Ready."

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/30/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Unfortunately, today, for the other challenges, you will need to play multiple games so this will not all be done in a single game. Sparing the "Demon" challenge, it probably could have been, but that will take two extra games by itself to complete. Now, a typical game in the Score Attack playlist will get you about a hundred and twenty kills. You only need a hundred kills for this challenge so it seems like this one is well taken care of. Pretty much, just ignore this challenge and move onto the other ones which will actually take effort to complete.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is when you earn ten kills in a row, uninterrupted by your death. You can get up to fifty kills and get five sprees but, after that, things get more spaced out. The next spree comes at a hundred kills and then at five hundred, I believe. You will only be getting about a hundred and twenty kills in any particular game so you will either need a weapon spree (i.e. Shotgun Spree, Sniper Spree, etc.) to complete this challenge, which will not happen in Gruntpocalypse but can happen in 2X Score Attack, or you will need to die on purpose to get the sprees reset. Therefore, I would suggest that you work on this challenge when working on Demon. The double damage will make it easier anyway.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/29/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Really easy challenges today, sparing the replacement for "Linked up with Bungie.net," that will really take you not too long at all, sparing that damned "Flat Tire" challenge. However, the challenge we need to worry about with these thirty multiplayer Matchmaking kills is "T-Hug It Out." Now, I am encouraging you to play Grifball to get your close quarters combat kills and that is also just a great playlist for getting kills. You will likely hit about twenty-five to thirty kills a game so be ready to play one more if you fall short of this goal. You can also hit up Multi Team or Invasion to hit these number quickly.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
This is the hardest and most aggravating challenge of the day and, to be honest, I thought we would get this one tomorrow. However, that is not the case so expect to spend about three to four games in the Score Attack playlist today. Now, the map Holdout has some static Banshee spawns on it that we want to take advantage of. Getting the gametype Sniper Attack is the preferred method for this challenge, though FRG and Rocket Attack are okay substitutes but do not do 2X Score Attack as vehicle kills on that gametype hardly ever count. You need to make the game last as long as possible so you can get as many Banshee kills as possible, which spawn every two and a half to four minutes. Kite around the final enemies if you need to but kill them at the latest possible moment. As said before, expect this challenge to take three to four games to complete.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/28/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
If we were able to just do a regular game of Firefight Matchmaking, or even a game of the now non-existent Firefight Doubles, we could get this done in a single game. However, due to the need for assists for "A Friend in Need," we will need to play in the standard four player Firefight Playlist. There is a very good chance that you could end up with less than a hundred kills and will need to play another game anyway. If that does happen, if you have completed "A Friend in Need" play Crashsite in Score Attack. If not, jump back in to standard Firefight. It sucks, but it's the only way to get it done.

A Friend in Need - Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2200cR
So, you are rewarded an assist every time you deal forty percent damage to an enemy who is killed by someone else. This is often known as someone stealing your kill and you would typically have a right to be angry about it, but we need this to happen today. It is really important that you communicate with your teammates on this one so they know that you want them to steal kills from you. Playing with one friend is even better as it will allow you to help get assists for each other. Now, ten in a game is definitely doable, but you will likely see more assists after the second round starts, once the Mythic Skull (enemies have double health) is on. Play a second game if need be to finish off this challenge.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 8/27/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 75 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2250cR
The other challenges today, will not get you to seventy-five kills in multiplayer Matchmaking, unfortunately. They just do not have enough kills in them. Now, they will likely get you twenty or thirty kills so you do not have too many to make up. I would suggest, once "Twin Trips" and "Sweep the Leg" are done, that you load up some more Grifball, where you can get upwards of eighty kills in a game (I have done it before, just once), and get to hammering. You could get this done in two games, scoring about twenty to twenty-five kills a game but it might take longer if the teams are uneven. Multi Team is also a great option if you can get an objective gametype. Should not take long either way, though.

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 4000cR
So, looking at this challenge today, and the other challenge, you will not be able to finish off this challenge with the others. But you will get at least seventy-five kills from the "Gunslinger" challenge above. After that, Firefight Matchmaking is easily your best bet. I would stick to Score Attack as three games of either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse should be enough to finish off this challenge for you. You can also do Custom Firefight or Campaign, but Score Attack will get you way more credits. Grifball is also an option in Multiplayer Matchmaking, but will take much longer than any other option.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
So there are no overly hard challenges today and, in fact, all of them are rather simple. This challenge, asking you to score a hundred and twenty kills in Firefight Matchmaking should be easily taken care of by the "Demon" challenge which will, likely, have you playing two to three games to complete. A regular game in the Score Attack playlist will get you about a hundred and twenty kills or so, which finishes off this challenge pretty quick. Might fall a few kills short, but you will be playing a second game anyway.

Triple Thrill - Earn any 3 sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
Sprees, sprees, sprees. So a spree in Multiplayer Matchmaking is when you score five kills in a row, uninterrupted by death or the end of a round. The most common kind of spree is a Killing Spree but there are also weapon sprees (i.e. Sniper Spree) and other generic ones (i.e. Spawn Spree, Zombie Killing Spree). Three sprees in a single game can definitely be tough for many which is why I would recommend playing a playlist like Living Dead. If you are a survivor for most of the game, you stand a very good chance of getting three sprees done in relatively short order. There is a chance that this challenge will only count Killing Sprees and, if it does, Living Dead is still your best bet.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/25/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Not exactly the hardest of challenges but this is a decent chunk of kills to haul in from what will be a, mostly, multiplayer Matchmaking. At least seventy-seven of these kills will come from the "Single Wield" challenge. Once that challenge is completed however, it get a little hairy due to the "Secondary Fire" which basically has you giving up all your kills for assists. That will likely take two or three games, however, and then you can focus on whatever remaining kills you have left. It might be overkill, but Grifball should do nicely to make sure you hit those remaining kills.

Secondary Fire - Earn 25 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2875cR
We have been seeing this challenges quite a bit more lately, especially since they seemed to have forgotten about it over at 343i for a while. By now, most of you should know that you earn an assist when you deal forty percent damage to an enemy who is killed before he/she regains that health. In short, someone steals your kill. Now, twenty-five is not an overly large number to gain, especially if you know the right playlist. For me, that playlist is Multi Team. With a dearth of targets and a bunch of players to steal your kills, you can literally walk into the middle of a map, melee someone, score an assists. Melees are not the best method for securing assists, but you get my point. The important thing is that, after you damage someone, make sure you actually stop trying to kill them. As long as you are in a well-traveled portion of the map, someone will clean up the kill for you. Should take three to four games to complete.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/24/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Pretty simplistic challenge today that should not cause you too much grief as long as you pick the right gametypes and playlists. This one, asking you to score a hundred and eighty kills in Reach today is a pretty simplistic challenge. I would expect it to take you only a few games as all of these kills do not need to be in multiplayer Matchmaking. After you have finished the other challenges for today, hop into the Score Attack playlist and hit up either 2X Score Attack of Gruntpocalypse for easy completion of this challenge.

Came From Behind - Perform 2 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2200cR
You will actually want to focus on this challenge after obtaining your multikills as it will make life easier. I would expect this challenge to take slightly longer as well. Now, an assassination is initiated when you are behind an opposing player and you hold the melee button up close. The animation needs to generally complete for the kill to count as an assassination. Assassinations in the air or on inclines go way faster than ones on flat ground. Scoring two is not overly hard, but can be if you are in the wrong playlist. I have found that the best playlist for this challenge is Team Snipers. In this playlist, people lose focus and are very easy flank. You simply need two assassination in a single game, but this make take one or two tries.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/23/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
Looking at the challenges today, I would love to have Firefight Doubles, to be honest, as it would allow you to burn through the "Demon," "Flat Tire," "Hyper Lethal Vector," and this challenge in about two games. Instead, we are looking at a few more. This challenge, however, will take two games at most. In the Score Attack playlist, you will get about a hundred and twenty kills per game, sparing any Covenant grenade suicides. Now, this means you second game should finish off this challenge in the first two waves, if not, you are doing something horribly, horribly wrong.

Demon - Kill 50 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR
Despite the fact that the "Flat Tire" challenge is the more irritating of these two, you will likely be going for the fifty Elite kills slightly longer, but that is also due to me suggesting that you get "Flat Tire" done first. You can likely pick up Elite kills while working on the Flat Tire, but probably not fifty. Once you have finished getting your five vehicle kills, jump into matchmaking again and choose 2X Score Attack. The final wave of this gametype will be just about twenty or more Elites that you can kill very easily due to the double damage of 2X Score Attack. That may not get you to fifty, so do one more game to finish it off.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/22/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 40 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3500cR
Pretty simplistic challenges today, some even simpler than this one. Two multiplayer Matchmaking challenges as well as a Firefight and a Campaign challenge will keep you somewhat busy today. Now, forty kills in multiplayer should be pretty easy to come by and will take about two to four games to complete depending on what playlist you choose. Personally, I would go with the Grifball playlist as it will also allow you to work on the "Fourth Horseman" challenge. Choice is yours however, since you can get forty kills done in practically any playlist pretty fast.

A Satisfied Thirst - Kill 200 Grunts in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR
Grunts, the easiest targets you will likely ever face in Halo (ignoring Flood spores, that is), are easy to find in any Firefight match, except may Skirmageddon. Gruntpocalypse is a gametype in the Score Attack playlist where you can only fight Grunts and it will be our flavor of choice for this challenge. You should get around a hundred and twenty kills per game in Gruntpocalypse and, as you need two-hundred kills, this will take you two games to complete. Doing this outside of Gruntpocalypse will take a hell of a lot more games as you are only likely to see Grunts in a few waves instead of all of the waves.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/21/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
So, a hundred and twenty kills in Firefight Matchmaking is about what you would typically get in a single game in the Score Attack playlist. Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack are your best options for this challenge. Now, there is a chance that you can end up just short of your goal due to enemy suicides and such. If that happens, you just need to play one more game. Crashsite is a good option as it will allow you to get the kills you need and then end the game legitimately by dying or letting the generator explode.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
Unlike multiplayer Matchmaking, a Spree in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills. They are, however, way easier to come by then a standard Killing Spree in multiplayer. Seven will be hard to hit in a game though, since you can only get six regular killing sprees in a Score Attack game (once you hit fifty kills the next spree is at a hundred). Weapon Spree may also count towards this challenge, since it does not stipulate "Killing" sprees but, if they do not, be prepared to die so you can start the sprees over and get number seven.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 8/20/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

Only three Daily Challenges were up this morning and I can't get back to this until the evening.  Please post the final challenge in the comments if you can!

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Well, it sure looks like a multiplayer Matchmaking day today and we have some pretty easy challenges to go with it. This is one of those easy challenges if only for the fact that you will not even need to focus on this particular challenge to complete. Due to the "This is My Rifle..." challenge asking you to score thirty headshots with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking, this challenge is completely taken care of. Be worried about getting all those assists.

Secondary Fire - Earn 25 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2875cR
In multiplayer Matchmaking, an assists is awarded when you deal a player at least forty percent damage and then someone else kills him before that health or shields regenerate or are healed. Typically, you will see this as someone stealing your kill. However, you will need this to happen twenty-five times today to complete this challenge. Now, my advice is for you to play in the Multi Team playlist since it is great for assists. You can score plenty of assists by just meleeing someone and then stopping before they die. Someone else will pick up that kill to give you an assists. As well, this challenge can be worked on in any playlist but try to get lots of players and small maps.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/19/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Challenges are slightly more spread out today featuring two in Firefight Matchmaking and two in multiplayer Matchmaking. This one is the easiest of the day, only asking for a hundred and twenty kills to be made in Firefight Matchmaking. No need to really go out of your way on this one since working on the "J.H. Death Machine" challenge will likely take care of these kills for you. If you do end up slightly short of this number. A single game of Crashsite in the Score Attack playlist will easily take care of this for you.

Double Double - Earn 2 Double Kills in the same match in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Writing up a guide for this challenge is likely somewhat of a waste due to the "Oops! All Kills" challenge and due to the Weekly Challenge. You can easily complete this challenge in a single game but if you need help, go below and look at the "Oops! All Kills" challenge write up for tips and explanations. Do note however that you need two Double Kills for this challenge, not two Multikills, in a single game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/18/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
As a way to tease you, sparing this lone Firefight Challenge, all other challenges today are in multiplayer Matchmaking, and they will take a while (about fifteen games to be precise). Now, this challenge of Firefight Matchmaking will take a at least two games to complete. It could have been done in a single game back when Firefight Doubles was still here, but not anymore. Now, Score Attack is really out best option and this challenge will take two games to complete as you only get about a hundred and twenty kills per game of Score Attack. The second game can be Crashsite if you happen to have it pop up to make things go faster. Just die or let the generator explode once you have the kills you need.

You Want This, Don't You? - Earn 14 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
This is actually not the hardest challenge today, though hitting fourteen kills in a single game with precision weapons (i.e. DMR, Sniper Rifle) will likely be a challenge for many. What you will want to do is to head for either Team SWAT or Team Snipers. I would pick Team SWAT as it will allow you to vote for some objective gametypes in Matchmaking. Even though I am urging you away from objective-based gametypes for the "Put Your Quarter Up" challenge, it becomes somewhat necessary here. Objective games will allow you to get well more kills than slayer games due to the lack of a kill limit. Now, this will likely take a few tries, but keep at it. You need to play fifteen games anyway.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/17/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 150 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 5500cR
As yesterday was all Firefight, today is all Multiplayer Matchmaking, and there are a few trying challenges today, though, let's look at this one first. Now, you will be unable to take care of this challenge, asking you to score a hundred and fifty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking, by completing this other challenges. They simply will not provide enough kills. However, this does give you a great opportunity to work on the Weekly Challenge or to finish it off. Jump into Grifball once all the other challenges are done and just go for kills and Multikills.

Sticky Icky Icky - Earn 5 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2400cR
Sticky Grenade are, honestly, something I have never been good at. I am very good at throwing grenades over player's shoulders or, apparently, between their legs or between their arms and bodies, but horrible at actually sticking an opponent. Due to this, I have found the best ways to tip the scales in my favor. I have found that Multi Team is the best playlist for this challenge as it allows you to have a target rich environment and, if you pick the right gametype, a ton of Plasma Grenades. You need to be aiming for the Elite Slayer gametypes as this will allow you to spawn with Plasma Grenades after every death. Instead of meleeing opponents, if you are that close to them, just stick them with a Grenade and move on to the next target. Getting five sticky grenade kills in these circumstances is very doable, so get to it.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/16/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 4000cR
As per the norm every week, Thursday is the day for Firefight challenges; nothing but Firefight. Now, since Firefight Doubles is now a thing of the past, completing these challenges becomes much more of a solo adventure unless you want to try four-player co-op play in the Firefight playlist which can be a disaster. Instead, stick to the Score Attack playlist which did survive the purge. This challenge will take you four games to complete as each game will get you a hundred and twenty or so kills. You will likely play three to four games while working on the other challenges, namely "Flat Tire," so this should be mostly in hand.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking - 2000cR
A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is slightly different from Multiplayer Matchmaking due to the number of kills required. Multiplayer Matchmaking requires five consecutive kills for a spree whereas Firefight requires ten consecutive kills, uninterrupted by death. Now, this is a really easy challenge to complete and you should, ideally, get this done in your first ten kills of the game. If you are having trouble, for any reason, try a game of four-player Firefight and just hang back and pick of enemies to score the spree.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/15/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
A hundred and twenty-five kills should be easily obtainable today with our strategy for the Weekly Challenge and the other challenges today. In fact, you may need to play no more than the four games required for "Credits for Completion" if the games go very well. Either way, since I am urging you to play Grifball, you get about twenty to thirty kills per decent game so expect this challenge to take about five to seven games to complete. Definitely can be a lower number of games if you achieve higher kill counts in the game of Grifball that I am urging you to play.

A Satisfied Thirst - Kill 250 Grunts in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1875cR
This is not a hard challenge, but just a time consuming challenge. Being the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today, we can easily focus on this one by just playing Gruntpocalypse in the Score Attack playlist. Now, with Gruntpocalypse, you will score about a hundred and twenty kills per games and this will put you right on the edge of the two-hundred and fifty kills needed for this challenge. For the final ten or so kills, you can either play another game of Gruntpocalypse or you can pick Crashsite if you see it. Crashsite will allow you to get the kills you need and then die or let the generator explode to end the game legitimately.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/14/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Well, no real point in fussing over this challenge today as it is well taken care of by all the other challenges. Try to look at this challenge, asking you to score a hundred and eighty kills, as just free credits. The "Scoped" challenge will get you two-hundred kills, "Close Talking" will get you a hundred kills, and "LD. Winter" will probably get you in the neighborhood of eighty or so kills. Regardless, these add up to way more than the hundred and eighty kills needed to satisfy this challenge. Move along.

Scoped - Kill 200 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with precision weapons. - 2500cR
In Firefight Matchmaking, and in all of Reach for that matter, precision weapons include the DMR (Designated Marksman's Rifle), the Sniper Rifle, the Needle Rifle, and the Covenant Beam Rifle. In Firefight Matchmaking, you will most likely, be using the DMR and Sniper for kills. Now, load up Score Attack and then choose either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse. Both gametypes will give you a DMR and the enemies will be very easy to kill. You will get about a hundred and twenty kills in a single game which means that you will need to play two games to finish off this challenge.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 8/13/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3500cR
Seventy-seven kills today is the number and should not at all be hard to obtain thanks to all the other challenges. Once you have finished off the "Killing Frenzy" challenge, you will likely move on to "Oops! All Kills," "Helping Hand," and the Weekly Challenge. "Oops! All Kills" and the Weekly Challenge will be what takes care of seventy-seven kills for you today, most likely. Now, remember to take breaks while playing and get up and walk around. Sitting for any length of time is not good for you.

Helping Hand - Earn 10 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
An assist in multiplayer Matchmaking is earned when you do forty percent damage to an enemy that is then killed by another player. This happens pretty commonly and is typically someone stealing your kills. However, we want it to happen today, at least ten times. I typically get about two to three assists per game without trying so you may not even have to try for this, just play normally and the other challenge will take care of it. This will likely be easier if you coordinate this with friends and work on it while you are going for your "Oops! All Kills" challenge completion along with "Killing Frenzy."

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/12/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Well, you will be playing through three of the various game modes today, thanks to these challenges. This first one, asking for four-hundred kills in Firefight Matchmaking is the lone Firefight challenge and should only take three to four games to accomplish. You can, either, play four games by yourself in Score Attack picking game types like 2X Score Attack and Gruntpocalypse to complete this one or you can do three longer games with a friend in Firefight Doubles choosing Arcadefight. It is just up to personal preference but get your Firefight Doubles games in now, as that playlist is disappearing this week (I remembered the link this time!).

LD. Solace - Complete Long Night of Solace, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 8500cR
This will be the hardest challenge of the day for most, but you do not actually need to complete all the stipulations posted, per se. First off, the Mythic Skull doubles all enemy health, the Thunderstorm Skull upgrades all enemies, the Tilt score makes their weapons do more damage, and the Tough Luck Skull has them dodging more. As for the "without dying" part, you can die as much as you want. I kid you not. Playthrough as you normally would but before hitting the last objective, which is going over to Jorge in the hangar, Save and Quit the game. Then, you simply reload the game, walk over to Jorge, and complete the mission. Not sure if that works well on Co-op, but it may be worth a try.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Well, the other challenges today will likely get you this challenge, fortunately. "Came From Behind" will be achieved while working on "Five-Time Champ" which will probably get you about fifty to seventy kills if you win five straight. "Return of the Mack" will likely yield around a hundred. These kills can be achieved in any mode in Reach however, which means that Firefight is a great option for this if you do not want to do the other challenges. If you end of slightly short on kills, some extra games in multiplayer Matchmaking should do just fine to finish off the challenge.

Came From Behind - Perform 2 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2200cR
You should be aiming for this challenge while working on the "Five-time Champ" challenge which will have you playing at least five games. Now, you can trigger an assassination animation when you are behind an opposing player and you hold the melee button but the animation needs to mostly complete for the assassination to count. Assassination on inclines or in the air will go significantly faster than regular ones. Now, Team Snipers is a great playlist for this challenge as players lose focus of surroundings and are easily assassinated. However, this can be done in a wide variety of playlists so try to play in what you excel at.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/10/12

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Well, like every day after only have Firefight challenge, it means that it is time for a day full of multiplayer Matchmaking challenges. However, those challenges will likely not get this challenge done due to the low number of kills from the challenges. In fact, all the other challenges can be completed in a single game. For this challenge, once you have finished the others, you can play a single game in the Score Attack playlist to finish off this challenge. If not, play some more multiplayer.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 5 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2343cR
So, close quarters combat kills are typically when you score kills with the Shotgun, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, melee, or Assassination. In Grifball, which is what I am suggesting you play for the other challenges today, you can only get close quarters combat kills, except for players dying from the bomb explosion. You will assuredly get more than five kill in a single game, so there is hardly anything to worry about there. These all need to be in a single game anyway, which is just another good reason to play Grifball. On to the next challenge.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/9/12

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3800cR
Typically, we would look at this and see two, maybe three, fast games of Score Attack and then be done with it. However, due to other challenges today, it is much easier to simply take care of this in the Firefight Doubles playlist, which is soon disappearing (Read about that here), and specifically the game type Arcadefight. You can get up to a hundred and seventy kills per game in this playlist as long as your teammate is not stealing all the kills. This challenge will take two games but, during those games, you should get all the other challenges done.

That Pink Mist - Kill 70 enemies with a Supercombine from the Needler or Needle Rifle in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
So, I already have you playing Arcadefight in the Firefight Doubles playlist and it has several loadouts that we need. The first of which is the FRG loadout which also features the Needler. Now, early on it will not get you Supercombine kills, but once the Mythic skull is one, you should be racking them up. I would not use the Needler on the Heretic Elites though, just kill those ass-holes as fast as you can. I would expect this challenge to take two games to complete since your teammate will likely be going for it as well.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/8/12

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
A hundred and twenty-five kills in multiplayer Matchmaking is a pretty solid day of playing, depending on what playlists you typically inhabit. I would expect this to take about ten games in normal playlists, five or so in ones like Grifball. Now, we do not know what challenge is going to replace "Linked up with Bungie.net" and it may very well be a multiplayer Matchmaking one or it may be Firefight or Campaign. If it is multiplayer Matchmaking, do the new challenge and then this one, so these a hundred and twenty-five kills will be a lot easier.

Killagruntjaro - Earn 10 multikills in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 1100cR
This is a pretty easy challenge, hence the low credit value from 343i. A multikill is earned in Firefight Matchmaking whenever you score multiple kills within one second of each other. The most you can get in one grouping is nine and then it has to reset (aka just wait a few seconds). Depending on what playlist you are in, these are very, very easy to get. Now, Gruntpocalypse in the Score Attack playlist is great for this, as is 2X Score Attack. You should have this done in about your first twenty to thirty kills. Might as well finish off the game then, and grab as many credits as you can.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/7/12

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 5343cR
Pretty simplistic challenges today and with the other challenges having you in Firefight, multiplayer Matchmaking, and Campaign, this challenge is definitely taken care of. The "Katanarama" challenge will have you playing a single game of 2X Score Attack in the Score Attack playlist for a hundred and twenty kills and "Eyes in the Sky" will get you probably right about twenty kills. Finally, you have the seven games you need to complete for "The Magic Number Challenge," which, as long as you score ten kills during those seven games, will complete this challenge for you.

Katanarama - Kill 1 enemies using the Energy Sword in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
There are two ways to complete this challenge and which one you choose is up to you. First option will be to load up the Score Attack playlist and then pick 2X Score Attack. The final wave will be about twenty Elites and one of them always has sword, it seems. Kill him first, pick up the sword, and make your kill. The second option is playing Arcadefight in the Firefight Doubles playlist. The Energy Sword should be one of the load out and you just need to score one kill with it to complete this challenge.
