Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/18/12

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
As a way to tease you, sparing this lone Firefight Challenge, all other challenges today are in multiplayer Matchmaking, and they will take a while (about fifteen games to be precise). Now, this challenge of Firefight Matchmaking will take a at least two games to complete. It could have been done in a single game back when Firefight Doubles was still here, but not anymore. Now, Score Attack is really out best option and this challenge will take two games to complete as you only get about a hundred and twenty kills per game of Score Attack. The second game can be Crashsite if you happen to have it pop up to make things go faster. Just die or let the generator explode once you have the kills you need.

You Want This, Don't You? - Earn 14 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
This is actually not the hardest challenge today, though hitting fourteen kills in a single game with precision weapons (i.e. DMR, Sniper Rifle) will likely be a challenge for many. What you will want to do is to head for either Team SWAT or Team Snipers. I would pick Team SWAT as it will allow you to vote for some objective gametypes in Matchmaking. Even though I am urging you away from objective-based gametypes for the "Put Your Quarter Up" challenge, it becomes somewhat necessary here. Objective games will allow you to get well more kills than slayer games due to the lack of a kill limit. Now, this will likely take a few tries, but keep at it. You need to play fifteen games anyway.

This is My Rifle... - Earn 40 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2600cR
I would look at this challenge as just being additional credits for "You Want This, Don't You?" as forty kills with precision weapons is not hard to reach and will likely happen while working on the previously mentioned challenge. Precision weapons, as you likely know, include the DMR, Sniper, Needle Rifle, and the Covenant Beam Rifle and can generally be found on any map and in any gametype. Team SWAT and Team Snipers are obviously the best for this challenge but are not necessary. After completing "You Want This, Don't You?", I would just work on "Put Your Quarter Up" and this will unlock in time.

Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 15 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2750cR
This will be the pivotal challenge of the day and by far the most time consuming due to immense number of games required for it. Fifteen is a ton, have no doubts about it. I can only offer tips at this point, not a clear cut solution to get these done extremely fast. Firstly, stick to gametypes that you enjoy. Playing gametypes you do not like or do not really care about will only make it feel like it is taking longer. Secondly, go for slayer gametypes. Objective gametypes almost always last longer and can be far more aggravating. Thirdly, do not be overly concerned about winning. You do not need to win for the challenge and you should just try to have fun. Fourthly, play with your friends. Time will simply past faster. Finally, take break. You should never be sitting down the entire time it would take to play through fifteen games. It just isn't healthy.
