Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/31/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Hopefully, if luck is on your side, you will be able to complete this challenge in a single game of Firefight Matchmaking. In a regular game of Firefight Matchmaking in the Score Attack playlist, you will typically get about a hundred and twenty kills. There is almost always a chance that you will get slightly less kills due to enemies committing suicide every so often which may force you to play a second game. If you are stuck playing a second game, try to make it Crashsite as you can just get the few kills you need and then just die or let the generator explode to end the game.

Pass the Rock - Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
Now it has been quite a long while since we saw this challenge in any real capacity. We have seen assists in Firefight, but multiplayer is quite different. It is still the same stipulation that you will need to deal forty percent damage to an opponent and then have someone else steal the kill. For me, Multi Team is still the best option for this challenge. Small maps work best as your kills will be getting stolen anyway, probably. It will also help if, after popping an enemies shield, and doing him/her some damage, you stop and move on to a different enemy. This will allow someone else to mop up the kill and should reward you the assist. Twenty will be difficult to do in a single game, but two games is quite doable.

Came From Behind - Perform 2 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2200cR

Assassinations, one of the high points of all the additions to Reach, are performed by coming up behind and enemy, and then holding the melee button to initiate the kill. You need to kill the opponent during the kill move to get credit and not be interrupted. This can be very easy to do in certain playlists but you have to be careful. Assassination attempts in the air or on an incline will occur faster and are therefore less likely to be interrupted. Now, Team Snipers is typically my go to playlist for this challenge. However, since you are likely to play Multi Team for the "Pass the Rock" challenge, try it in there. If you have no luck, I would head to Team Snipers.

Tough Luck... On - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Tough Luck Skull on. - 2500cR
The easiest way to complete this challenge is to do a Speed-run of the mission Nightfall, though, it is not actually even needed. The Tough Luck Skull makes all enemies dodge grenades and other weapons better. Hardly a really difficult gameplay alteration but it is nonetheless. If you want to do a speedrun of Nightfall, look here at the guide. If not you can just do a regular playthrough of whatever level you wish, with Winter Contingency being one of the easiest. Only other stipulation is that is must be on Heroic, but go without dying to up the Flawless Cowboy commendation.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/30/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Gunslinger - Kill 150 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 5500cR
You will need to go out of your way for this challenge today, as the other Daily Challenges do not complete this challenge for you. The other challenges will net you short of this goal by quite a bit so you will need to either play some Grifball or Multi Team as those two are the best for just getting kills in multiplayer Matchmaking. You can also try gametypes like Living Dead, if you have the patience for it, Invasion, Big Team Battle, and Free-for-all. The choice is yours but this should not take more than ten games.

Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 30 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1250cR

Multi Team is likely the best playlist for this challenge as you do not typically get a lot of precision weapons in this playlist. As well, with so much damage being dealt out with so many players, it should not at all be hard to steal some kill using automatic weapons. Now, you will need to use the Needler, AR, Plasma Rifle, and Plasma Repeater for this challenge as those are the automatic weapons that you typically see in multiplayer Matchmaking. You can also just play in the regular Team Slayer playlist but Multi Team is really your best chance.

A Solid Outing - Earn at least 15 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1500cR
Hopefully, you will hit the fifteen kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game needed for this challenge while working on the "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge in the Multi Team playlists. If not, however, Grifball is likely a great playlist for this challenge though wait until you complete "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge before switching over. Grifball will typically get you about twenty to thirty kills game so it should work just fine for this challenge. You can also try Invasion or Big Team Battle if those do not tickle your fancy.

Triple Thrill - Earn any 3 Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
The Living Dead playlist is likely your best option for this challenge as it is the one playlists you can score three sprees in only five kills. If you are a survivor, you should be scoring kills very easily but try to get your first five kills with the shotgun. First of all, five kills will net you a Killing Spree. As they are all Zombies, you will also get a Zombie Killing Spree. Finally, if you get all the kills with Shotgun, you will get a Shotgun Spree. That should complete three sprees for your but, if it doesn't, you will need to get three Killing Sprees to complete this challenge, which should also be fairly easy in the Living Dead playlist.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/29/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 4000cR
Like usual, it is a Firefight Thursday, which is what has been going on for about a year now. For this challenge, you will basically need to score four hundred kills in whatever mode you please, though Firefight will definitely be the easiest for this challenge as you will be playing it anyway. You will get about a hundred to a hundred and twenty kills a game in Firefight Matchmaking so expect this challenge to take about four games to complete. It is a pretty simple challenge, but time consuming.

Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2800cR

I would get what you can done for this challenge while working on the "Bulletproof" challenge. No doubt you will see quite a few Elites in the Firefight Arcade playlist so might as well use them towards this challenge. After you have finished the "Bulletproof," I would head over to the Score Attack playlists and go for games of 2X Score Attack. The final wave of every game of 2X Score Attack is full of about twenty or so Elites that will be very easy for you to defeat thanks to the double damage. Have fun.

Bulletproof - Complete 2 Rounds in a Firefight Matchmaking game without dying. - 2200cR
To complete this challenge, you will need to play in the Firefight Arcade playlist as it is the only one right now where there is even more than one round in a game. Firefight Arcade must be complete in the first two rounds of the game. If you die in the first round, the challenge will be incompleteable (yes, I know that is not a real word) for the remainder of the match for some stupid reason. So you will need to survive the first two rounds and I would suggest a map like Beachhead or Glacier, both of which have good hiding spots if you have a jet-pack. Be prepared for this challenge to take multiple games if you have crappy teammates.

Weapon Swap - Earn 10 sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game on Heroic or harder. - 2000cR
I would go for this challenge while working on the "Bulletproof" challenge. To get ten spree in Firefight Matchmaking, you will need to die in a game or get very creative. Besides Killing Sprees which will come ever ten kills until you hit fifty, you can also get Weapons sprees, Assist, Sprees, Splatter Sprees, and Sticky Sprees. The later ones on this list are actually very challenging to do but you can simply reset all your sprees by dying. If you complete the "Bulletproof" challenge, you can die in the third round and restart all the sprees to hit ten. Problem solved.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/28/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1100cR
As you need to win ten games today for the "Who's the Big Winner?" challenge, you should really have no trouble completing this challenge. You should be scoring about ten to fifteen kills a game, though if you play a gametype like Grifball, you could probably get all these kills in a single game. Well if you play normally, this challenge should take you two to three games and will be completed before you know it. Not really anything to worry about here so move on to the other challenges.

Supporting Role - Earn 20 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1500cR
For this challenge, you will need to play Firefight with other players. It cannot just be Score Attack as there is no way to get assists there. I would personally recommend playing Firefight Arcade as Firefight Doubles is now only a single round. What you will need to do is deal at least forty percent damage to an enemy and then have one of your teammates take the kill. You will need twenty of these "assists" but it will be a lot easier if you communicate with your teammate and help them as well. This will be a lot easier once you hit the second round since the Mythic skull will be on and enemies will have a lot more health. You should be able to get this done in a single game, but be prepared for two.

Pod Kettle Black - Kill 20 Elite Drop Pods in The Long Night of Solace. - 1200cR

This is a fairly easy challenge but can only be done in a single place in the Campaign. You will need to load up the level "Long Night of Solace" on whatever difficulty you please, but start from Rally Point Alpha. This will start you flying the Sabre in space. Now, you need to get to the second phase of your space combat. One you are attacking the Corvette, Fly down below it and you will see Drop Pods fall from the center. These are what you need to destroy. The only come out every thirty or so seconds four at a time and they move very fast, but you should have no trouble scoring the kills.

Who's the Big Winner? - Win 10 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 5343cR
This, like always, will be the hardest and most time consuming challenge of the day. As with most matchmaking games, who you get matched up with on your team will likely be a big determining factor in whether you win the game or not. To mitigate this factor some, play with friends and people who you know are good at Reach. You will also want to play in playlists that you typically have success in, though that should be somewhat obvious. Finally, try not to play all at once of if you are aggravated. Take breaks and you should be fine pumping out these wins for today.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/27/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
You do not even need to worry about this challenge as it will be taken care of by the other challenges today, most notably the "Going Outpost-al" challenge that is asking you to score a hundred and twenty-five kills on Outpost in Firefight Matchmaking. Getting a hundred and twenty-five kills there will take care of the a hundred and twenty need for this challenge since it does not need to be done in a single game. Problem solved, move on.

Going Outpost-al - Kill 125 enemies on Outpost on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR

A typical game in the Score Attack playlist, like 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse, will get you about a hundred and twenty kills. That will be just short of the required kills for this challenge. So a second game is pretty much going to be required for this challenge. If you have the chance, go for a game of Crashsite on this map. A game of Crashsite will allow you to get the kills you need and then you can either die or let the generator explode to end the game. Otherwise, you will simply need to play through an entire extra game just to get these few kills.

Leadership Element - Kill 45 enemy leaders in the Campaign today. - 2200cR
Enemy leaders, though the numbers should be broader, are actually just Elites. This challenge and the one asking you to just kill Elites are the same exact thing. Therefore, you will need to play through a level like ONI: Swordbase or through Long Night of Solace from Rally Point Brave. Both will likely end you just short of the required kills for this challenge, which means you will likely be hitting up a second play through to complete, though it should not be too bad.

Participation Counts - Complete 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2400cR
Four games should be pretty easy to complete and will only take you about an hour or less to do. Games like Grifball and Living Dead can be fast, but can also be very long and very aggravating games. Team SWAT is a good alternative as long as your are on a small map, like Uncaged or Zealot, as kills are acquired quickly over long range and in tight. You can hammer all these games out in one sitting before or after you play your campaign and Firefight games for the other challenges today.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 3/26/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
On average, you will hit about a hundred and twenty kills per game in Firefight Matchmaking as long as you stay within the Score Attack playlist. This means that you will need to play at least four games to complete this challenge while scoring at least a hundred kills in each game. This is very easy to complete but is just time consuming. I would stick to 2X Score Attack and Gruntpocalypse as these gametypes always provide the most kills per game.

Blast Radius - Kill 75 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades. - 2500cR

This will be a challenge that you will need to consciously try for over all of your Firefight games today. You will be playing about four games for the "One Spartan Army" challenge so as long as you hit about a twenty grenade kills a game, you should have this challenge taken care of. 2X Score Attack is great for this challenge as the double damage gives grenades a much more lethal range than normal. Aim for clusters of enemies as they spawn and you should have no trouble scoring the kills you need.

This is My Rifle... - Earn 40 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2600cR
To complete this challenge, you will need to spend some time in the Team Sniper or Team SWAT playlists as both of those playlists start you with the Sniper and DMR, respectively. You should be able to snag about ten to fifteen kills a game which means that this challenge will take you about three to four games to complete. Both of these playlists allow you to score kills quickly with one-shot, head-shot kills but, of the two, SWAT tends to have the faster games. Having a smaller map also helps speed up the games a lot.

Survivor - Earn 9 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
The easiest way to complete this challenge is to play a game of Sniper Attack in the Score Attack playlists of Firefight Matchmaking. If your survive the entire game and get at least a hundred kills, that will score you a nice six sprees. However, that is definitely not enough for completion of this challenge and that is where the Sniper comes in. You will want to score fifteen kills with the Sniper which will give you three Sniper Sprees. This will get you up to nine Sprees and complete the challenge. If the Sniper Sprees do not count, you will need to die to get more spree to hit nine.

The Weekly Challenge:
Not Lough, High - Earn a score of 250,000 in any mission in the Reach Campaign. - 30000cR
So this is actually a very easy Weekly Challenge and since I have explained it before, I am just going to copy over the stuff and add to it. Here it is: We have had this Weekly Challenge once or twice before and it is actually really easy. What you are going to do is called Banshee hunting. You will load up New Alexandria on Heroic and turn on the Iron, Tough Luck, Catch, Famine, and Thunderstorm skulls with scoring on. Please note that if you do not turn on all these skull, you will get less points for each kill and this method will take long. Don't complain to me if you did this without the Iron Skull on and it took a long time.

Basically, you will go around killing every Banshee and Phantom that you can find. The challenge we had before had a lower point total to achieve, which therefore took a shorter time and got you a larger time bonus. This time, you will need to hit a total of two-hundred and fifty thousand point in game since you will lose the time bonus with how long this takes. Just fly around as this is really easy. It will take about thirty minutes or so, but that is still faster than getting it through a regular playthrough.  Look here for video of the method.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/25/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Hopefully, you will only need to play a single game of Firefight Matchmaking for this challenge, but there is always a chance you will end up just short of the kills needed. First off, a regular game in Firefight Matchmaking, specifically in the Score Attack playlist, will get you about hundred and twenty kills. Unfortunately, there are definite chances for you to end short of that goal due to enemies who like to accidentally kill themselves. I would try for 2X Score Attack for this challenge, as it should also help you get the Katanarama challenge.

Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 100 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today. - 2500cR

This is not really a hard challenge, but it will be the most time consuming challenge of the day since you will likely need to play through to missions of the Campaign to complete the challenge. You will need to score kills with the AR (Automatic Rifle), Needler, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Repeater, or the Brute Spiker. Play solo and you do not even have to actually score the kills. All you need to do is deal some damage to the Covies and then your AI Teammates can make the kill but you will get credit for it. I would start with Winter Contingency and then work your way to ONI: Swordbase. You should complete this challenge during your second mission.

Katanarama - Kill 1 enemies using the Energy Sword in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
This challenge is easy, as it is only asking for a single kill will the Energy Sword in Firefight Matchmaking, but it get tricky because swords can be very hard to find. There are two gametypes in the Score Attack playlist where you are almost guaranteed to see a sword that you can grab. The first is just regular Score Attack. The final wave of this gametype is always six highly powered Zealot-class Elites. They are typically tough to kill and one almost always has a sword out. As these guys are really hard to kill, I would not recommend that route. Instead, head for 2X Score Attack on a small map. The final wave of this gametype will typically have one or two Elites with Swords out as long as you are on a smaller map. Kill them, grab the sword, and score the one kill you need for the challenge.

Better, Closer, Warmer - Earn at least 9 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2343cR
This challenge should only take you a single game in multiplayer Matchmaking in whatever playlist you choose and it will probably be the only game of multiplayer that you will even need to play today. Nine kills is really below average for what you should be hitting in a single game as you should be hitting about twelve to fourteen. If you are having trouble getting enough kills, then head for a gametype like Grifball or Multi Team where you can always get tons of kills in practically any game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/24/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3500cR
Typically, for a single game of Firefight Matchmaking in the Score Attack playlist, you will get around a hundred and twenty kills per game. There is always the possibility of slightly less do to enemies committing suicide and slightly more due to drop-pods bringing in more Covies. These number mean that you will need to play at least three games to complete this challenge. The first two need to be full games but the last one can be a game of Crashsite just to speed things along. In Crashsite, once you have all the kills you need, you can either die or let the generator explode to end the game.

This is My Rifle... - Earn 100 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR

Hold no illusions about this, if you mean to complete all the challenges today, you will be playing a lot of multiplayer Matchmaking. This challenge alone will have you playing about seven to ten games in either Team Snipers or Team SWAT. The challenge is asking you to score a hundred kills with precision weapons and Team Snipers and Team SWAT start you with the Sniper and DMR, respectively. In those playlists you should average about ten to fifteen kills a game which means seven to ten games to play for this challenge. If you have a chance, go for the objective game types in those playlists as it will likely let you get more kills for that game.

Not as Clumsy or Random... - Earn 5 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
This challenge will be very, very easily taken care of by the "This is My Rifle..." challenge which is asking you to get a hundred kills with precision weapons today. Getting five kills with precision weapons in a single game should be beyond easy and hardly even causing issue for any Halo players. If you are having trouble hitting the required numbers for this challenge, you may want to find a different game to play, like Golf or something...

The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3700cR
Seventeen games. Soak it in for a little, but not too long since you need to get to playing. This will take a large chunk of your day to complete, if not all of it. Why this challenge is only worth three thousand, seven-hundred credits, I do not have the faintest clue but it should definitely be worth more. Now, you will hopefully already be getting about seven to ten games completed via the "This is My Rifle..." challenge so the issue is about the rest. Play gametypes and playlists that you enjoy. Play with friends that you have fun with. As well, do not try to do all of these in one sitting. Make sure that you take breaks and stop to relax if you get aggravated in game. Good luck.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/23/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Gunslinger - Kill 75 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2250cR
There are not any seriously hard challenges today and almost all of these can be done in a single game besides this one. The other challenges today will not get you seventy-five kills, which is to be expected and this means that you will be playing extra games to rack up the kills. Whatever you decide to play is up to you, bit Grifball, Multi Team, and Team Objective are some definite possibilities for racking up a bunch of kills in very short order. As seventy-five kills is not a lot, however, just play and have fun and you should eventually hit the number.

T-Hug It Out - Kill 6 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2400cR

This is a pretty easy challenge and can be done in a multitude of playlists so you can breathe easy. First off, a close quarters combat kills is a kill made in close range with a Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Shotgun, Melee, or an Assassination. Grifball would be a great gametype for getting a bunch of these kills as the only weapons you can use are the Sword, Hammer, and Melee. Living Dead is also another option as you can score a bunch of Shotgun kills as a survivor and a bunch of Sword kills as a zombie. Playlists like Multi Team also offer a lot of chances for getting close quarters kills but they will likely be with a melee or a Shotgun.

Triple Thrill - Earn any 3 Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking is five kills uninterrupted by death. There are of course other sprees and, as this challenge does not specify Killing sprees, other sprees should work as well. Those include Weapon Sprees, Assist Sprees, and Spawn Sprees. The last two are probably pretty unlikely to occur, but Weapon Sprees are decently common. There is a chance that those sprees will not count towards the challenge, but that is why I am directing you to play in the Living Dead playlist. Just score five Zombie kills in a row with the Shotgun and that should technically give you three Sprees. If you are only rewarded one Spree, then the challenge only wants Killing Sprees which you should be able to get three of in the Living Dead playlist.

Throwing Fireballs - Kill 2 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Multi Team is likely your best option for this challenge as it presents you with the most opponents at which to toss Grenades in a small space. You only need to score two Grenade kills, which is a pretty easy number to hit, as you can catch people in Beat Down battles and score two kills there. I probably would not even be uncommon for you to get this many Grenade kills in a regular match and, if you think that is case, just play a regular match and you will likely have this challenge taken care of. Please not that kills with the Grenade Launcher do not count towards this challenge.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/22/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
This challenge should be very easily taken care of by the many games that you have to play today in Firefight Matchmaking. Since you are playing two to three games for the Flat Tire challenge and then possibly more games for the "Demon" and "Take a Dip" challenges, getting a hundred and eighty kills should really be the least of your worries as it will pretty much happen while you play as you should be averaging around a hundred kills in a game, give or take about ten.

Take a Dip - Kill 150 enemies on Waterfront in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2500cR

After you have completed the "Flat Tire" challenge, I would focus on this one. Waterfront is not a map that typically has a bunch of vehicles on it so you should go for kills on this one after completing the "Flat Tire" challenge. I would personally recommend 2X Score Attack if you can get it, though that will likely not always be possible. You will just need to play two games to get this challenged finished and the second game can ever be something like Crashsite if it happens to pop up, which will allow you to get the kills you need and then die or let the generator explode to end the game.

Demon - Kill 30 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2400cR
This challenge should actually be pretty well taken care of today. Basically, you will need to play a slew of games for the "Flat Tire" and "Take a Dip" challenges. Hopefully, you will slay thirty Elites within that time and you will not even need to worry about this challenge. If you are short Elites however, I would play a game of 2X Score Attack on whatever map you first see it on. On the final wave of 2X Score Attack, you will face about twenty or so Elites. This should finish off the challenge for you with relative ease though you likely will not even need to play an extra game for this one.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
This is the challenge which you should focus on first as it is the most annoying and since other challenges can be completed during it, like the "Demon" challenge. You will need to play in Firefight Arcade and aim for maps like Beachhead. On Beachhead, vehicles get dropped all the time at the start of waves, always Wraiths and Ghosts, and there will typically be at least one or two every wave. You will need to compete with four other players for the kills, but it still beats shooting Banshees on Holdout. I would go for Sniper Fight or Rocket Fight to get the most vehicle kills.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/21/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
This is a decent amount of kills to get in a single day of multiplayer Matchmaking, but it is actually quite easy. You should play Grifball for the "Up Close and Personal" challenge and after that, I would recommend staying in that playlist as kills are so plentiful. You could have the challenge done within three games if everything goes well but it might take up to five. In other playlists, I would expect this to take longer due to the lower number of kills generated in each other playlists. Multi Team and Living Dead can also be good options but typically there are dud games in those.

That Pink Mist - Kill 100 enemies with a Supercombine from the Needler or Needle Rifle in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2500cR

This will actually be the hardest challenge of the day, most likely. In Firefight Matchmaking, Supercombine kills are actually difficult to come by unless the Mythic Skull is on. You will need to play Firefight Arcade for this and hope for a playlist like FRG Fight. FRG Fight has a starting loadout of a FRG and a Needler. It is the Needler that you need to score Supercombines with. You can also try for something like Sniper Attack and try to pick up a Needle Rifle but I am unsure whether you are still able to pickup weapons in Firefight Arcade after the last update. Definitely expect this to take two games or maybe even three.

Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR
There are several ways to complete this challenge, though, one does win out time-wise. I would do a quick speedrun of the level Nightfall on Heroic or Normal with the Thunderstorm Skull on. This will take you about seven to ten minutes and is really very easy. Here is a guide, with video, of the path you need to take. Thunderstorm just upgrades all enemies but it hardly changes the difficulty of the level if you are just running by everyone. I am also telling you to play Heroic so if you get through without dying, it will help with the Flawless Cowboy commendation.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 5 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2343cR
This challenge will be the easiest one of the day since it really requires very little effort. My advice is for you to go into the Grifball playlist where practically every kill you can score is a close quarters combat kill. For the record, close quarters combat kills are any kills with the Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Melee, Assassination, or the Shotgun. You will typically get about twenty to thirty kills a game so this should make everything quite easy.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/20/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Hopefully, this challenge will only take you a single game of Firefight Matchmaking to complete. On average you will score about a hundred and twenty kills in a single Firefight Matchmaking game, but there is always a chance that you will end a few kills short as Covies accidentally commit suicide. For the first game, make sure you play either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse to make sure you get as many kills as possible. If you still need some, either play whatever game you wish or go for some Crashsite.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR

We are really seeing a lot of challenges for sprees in Firefight recently which are quite easy to begin with. A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is just ten kills uninterrupted by a death and you should really have no problem completing this challenge while doing the "Covenant-cite" challenge. Beyond this, not much else to say for this challenge, though you might be able to get it done faster if you get a weapon spree, which only need five kills with a certain weapon.

Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 200 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today. - 3000cR
This is a lot of kills with automatic weapons and you might actually need to play through a good chunk of the Campaign to complete this challenge. Start with Winter Contingency on Normal or Heroic and only use automatic weapons (i.e. the AR, Needler, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Brute Spiker). Except for the Brute Spiker, you should have ready access to all of these weapons in most parts of the game. Try to carry two automatic weapons at all times. Now, you do not have to actually score two-hundred kills, since if an AI Teammate kills an enemy that you damaged, you still get credit for it. So, try to dole out as much damage as you can to all the enemies so you get credit for all the kills. This challenge make take you well into Tip of the Spear to complete, though you may want to skip Nightfall.

Sweep the Leg - Perform an Assassination in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A single Assassination in multiplayer Matchmaking should be easy enough to complete. If you are unaware of how to assassinate an opposing play, you just need to come behind your opponent and hold the melee button once you are close enough. This will start an Assassination move that must mostly finish for you to get credit for the Assassination. I always end up scoring at least one Assassination in Team Snipers so I am heavily recommending that playlist for this challenge. It should only take you a single game.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 3/19/12

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3500cR

Seventy-seven kills is not too bad, but you will actually need to go out of your way to get the kills for this challenge.  If you can score about twenty kills a game, while going for the "Chaddlesby's Justice" challenge, you are likely in good shape.  And, that many kills per game can be achieved in a single game of Grifball or Multi Team if you are lucky.  Or you can just go play in a playlist that you enjoy since it really is not a lot of kills.  Just have fun and the kills will come.  That is how it normally works.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
Firefight Arcade is now your best option for this challenge since the matchmaking update returned Drop-ships to Firefight Arcade. I would head for any game with power weapons on the map Beachhead as it will likely give you one vehicle to kill just about every wave, whether it is a Ghost or a Wraith. You will have teammates to compete with for the kills, however, so once you get that last vehicle kill for the challenge, lay off and let your teammates pick some up. You can also get this in Score Attack on the map Holdout, but that is not recommended as it can take a long while.

There Are Many Like... - Kill 50 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today. - 1500cR

You will need to score fifty kills with precision weapons in campaign, which include the DMR, Sniper, Needle Rifle, and the Covenant Focus Beam Rifle.  Perhaps the easiest way to complete this challenge is to play the mission ONI: Swordbase as it starts you with a precision weapon and a bunch of targets.    As long as it does not have shields or a helmet, you should be able to deal a one shot, headshot kill.  You should be able to finish off the challenge but, if need be, you can go onto Nightfall to score some kills with the Sniper.

Chaddlesby's Justice - Avenge your teammates' deaths 7 times in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3680cR

Avenging your teammate is done by killing an opposing player after he/she kills one of your teammates and before anyone else does.  There is some sort of time limit on this, though I am not sure what it is.  This should, however, be even easier in SWAT since the kills occur much faster.  If you are having trouble getting the "Avenger" medal in the SWAT playlist after many tries, then I would try out some Grifball since you should be able to avenge teammates quite often in that playlist.

The Weekly Challenge:
Co-op Dash - Clear any Campaign mission on Heroic, in co-op, in 15 minutes or less. - 15343cR
As usual, the best way to get through and campaign level fast is by just running through the level Nightfall, a guide to doing so which can be found right here. Co-op does present some challenges to completing the level, but they are all easily solved by just running together as close as possible and knowing where you need to go. You can also just complete this challenge by having an idle controller on as the second player and running through by yourself. The other player will teleport to you position at certain points, but it should not be in any dangerous areas.
