Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/29/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Really easy challenges today, sparing the replacement for "Linked up with Bungie.net," that will really take you not too long at all, sparing that damned "Flat Tire" challenge. However, the challenge we need to worry about with these thirty multiplayer Matchmaking kills is "T-Hug It Out." Now, I am encouraging you to play Grifball to get your close quarters combat kills and that is also just a great playlist for getting kills. You will likely hit about twenty-five to thirty kills a game so be ready to play one more if you fall short of this goal. You can also hit up Multi Team or Invasion to hit these number quickly.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
This is the hardest and most aggravating challenge of the day and, to be honest, I thought we would get this one tomorrow. However, that is not the case so expect to spend about three to four games in the Score Attack playlist today. Now, the map Holdout has some static Banshee spawns on it that we want to take advantage of. Getting the gametype Sniper Attack is the preferred method for this challenge, though FRG and Rocket Attack are okay substitutes but do not do 2X Score Attack as vehicle kills on that gametype hardly ever count. You need to make the game last as long as possible so you can get as many Banshee kills as possible, which spawn every two and a half to four minutes. Kite around the final enemies if you need to but kill them at the latest possible moment. As said before, expect this challenge to take three to four games to complete.

Linked up with Bungie.net - Link your gamertag with Bungie.net and play a game in Halo: Reach Matchmaking. - 1cR
Like every single time this pops up, expect it to get replaced once we get they wake up on the west coast. The reason this will get replaced is because it is literally impossible now. Reach is no longer hooked up to bungie.net and has no way to tell if you gamertag is linked on there. When a new challenge is posted, please post it down below if you can. I will be at work and unable to do so. Thanks ahead of time to any who post the challenge down below. It is much appreciated.

T-Hug It Out - Kill 6 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2400cR
This challenge is all about the playlists that you know of and which one you do it in. For our intents and purposes, we want the Grifball playlist as all the weapons in it are for close quarters combat kills. Now, to get a close quarters combat kill, you need to slay an opponent via the Shotgun, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Melee (includes meleeing with the Grifball) and Assassination. Sparing the Shotgun, those are the only ways you can kill people in Grifball and you typically get about twenty-five to thirty kills in Grifball. The method for this challenge should be pretty clear now, just go hammer away. Multi Team is also a viable playlist for this challenge if you are on a small map.

  1. Added Challenge:
Mythic Bustin' - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Mythic Skull on. - 1000cR
If you have yet to do the LASO Challenge for this week, doing it today would be a great idea and would also get this challenge done for you. If you have already done it, then I urge you to run Nightfall again since it is still the fastest way to complete the challenge. It will take you about seven to ten minutes and you only need to be on Heroic and no other skulls are necessary besides Mythic, which doubles the health of all your enemies.

    Pulled from 1/20/12 Guide.

  2. I had my account long ago attached to Bungie.net, so when I played my first game today, It gave me the 1 credit. However, looking just now on Waypoint shows the new challenge of Mythic Bustin' being completed. Anybody else had this happen to them?

    1. Bungie is no longer in charge of Reach so every time that challenge pops up, it is replaced. Been happening the entire summer and part of sprig.
