Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/21/12

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
So, a hundred and twenty kills in Firefight Matchmaking is about what you would typically get in a single game in the Score Attack playlist. Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack are your best options for this challenge. Now, there is a chance that you can end up just short of your goal due to enemy suicides and such. If that happens, you just need to play one more game. Crashsite is a good option as it will allow you to get the kills you need and then end the game legitimately by dying or letting the generator explode.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
Unlike multiplayer Matchmaking, a Spree in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills. They are, however, way easier to come by then a standard Killing Spree in multiplayer. Seven will be hard to hit in a game though, since you can only get six regular killing sprees in a Score Attack game (once you hit fifty kills the next spree is at a hundred). Weapon Spree may also count towards this challenge, since it does not stipulate "Killing" sprees but, if they do not, be prepared to die so you can start the sprees over and get number seven.

Points Pyramid - Score 100,000 points on any Campaign mission. - 3500cR
The lone campaign challenge for today, this is actually much easier than it sounds with a method called Banshee Hunting on the mission New Alexandria. A video of this method can be seen here. Now, you will basically just load up the mission on Legendary or Heroic difficulty (goes faster on Legendary) with a bunch of ineffective skulls on (Iron, Thunderstorm, Catch, Tough Luck, and Famine Skulls) since you will be flying around. It is important that you have all those Skulls on. Take one off, like Iron, and your points will drop dramatically. Play until you hit the hundred thousand points and you are all set. Does not take long either.

Three Dog Fight - Earn a Triple Kill in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
A Triple Kill is awarded to a player when he/she score three kills, all within four seconds of each other. These are typically hard to do unless you know the right game types. Grifball, is that gametype. In a game of Grifball, even larger multikills are commonplace if you have decent timing and an ok connection. You can also get this done in several other play lists, like Multi Team or Invasion, it is just much harder. Now, this is the only multiplayer Matchmaking challenge today and hopefully you will only need to play a single game to complete the challenge.
