The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Now Firefight Thursday has been completed, we move over to Multiplayer Friday, cause the names make so much sense that way. Any who, a hundred and eighty kills will actually take a while to hit in multiplayer Matchmaking and the other Daily Challenges will not get this done for you, or even all that close. You can expect to get about probably sixty to eighty kills while working on the other challenge but that still leaves you about a hundred short. The best way to pick up the slack is to load into the Firefight Matchmaking playlist and play a single game in the Score Attack playlist. This will give you about a hundred and twenty kills and hopefully finish this challenge off.
Pass the Rock - Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
An assist is earned in multiplayer Matchmaking when you deal forty percent health damage to an enemy who is then killed by someone else before that health has been restored. Typically, you will see this as someone stealing your kill, but you get a nice little medal for it. Now, your best bet is to specifically try for these assists and not going for kills. Of course, you will end up with kills anyway, so do not worry about that. Now, Multi Team is the best playlist for this challenge because you have a ton of enemies (nine, to be exact) and a bunch of players who can score you an assist (nine again). Aim for the smaller maps and stick to the center so if you damage a play enough, he/she is in a prime spot to get you an assist. Expect this to take two to three games to complete. And if you do not get the reference to the name, it is about passing a Kidney Stone.
Up Close and Personal - Kill 3 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Close quarters combat kills in Reach are typically made with the Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Shotgun, Melee, or Assassination. These can be gained in any mode and three in a single game is actually about what I would get on average per game. Now, ironically, Multi Team is another good playlist in which to complete this challenge since it is all very crowded most of the time. Grifball, however, is the best playlist as pretty much every kill you make will be close quarters combat. For this challenge, Grifball is pretty much the mayday solution if you are having a really bad day and just cannot score kills. Even having a horrible game will likely get you more than three kill.
Light Fuse, Run Away - Kill 4 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2100cR
This, again, is another great challenge to work on in the Multi Team playlist. Grenades in the Reach multiplayer come in two varieties, Plasma and Fragmentation, and are readily available on practically any map. The trick will be getting four in a single game. If you can, go for objective gametypes as those will give you a zone into which you can just toss grenades and likely score some kills. Crazy King is really good for this. You are not limited to Multi Team here as you can also try Invasion for some easy grenade kills too. Four in a single game will be tough, but is definitely doable since they do not all have to be grenade sticks or something.
