The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 3000cR
Yeah, look at the other challenges. Those will all take some time. Now take a gander at this challenge asking for a measly fifty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking. This challenge, on the contrary, will not even take a concerted effort to complete. Ignore it and move on as it is taken care of by all these other challenge.

Throwing Fireballs - Kill 8 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1600cR
A few hard challenges today, and I mean really hard. Seems as though 343i just wants you to move on to Halo 4, and this is their way of saying so. Now, Multi Team is probably your best bet for this challenge for a few reason. First off, you have a ton of targets. Secondly, these games are often on small, close quarters map which are great for grenades. Finally, finding grenades is really easy because people die so often. Try for Elite Slayer if you prefer sticky grenades, which might actually be better for this challenge. Expect this to take a bunch of games to complete as well.

Make a Wish... - Earn a Running Riot in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 5343cR
So a Running Riot is fifteen kills without dying in multiplayer Matchmaking. And this is just straight mean. Actually, probably slightly meaner than "Throwing Fireballs" but, alas, here we go. Now, you will want a few key elements to get a Running Riot; a large map, a lot of targets, and a powerful weapon. Big Team Battle or Invasion Slayer are likely your best bets. Getting the Sniper on Hemorrhage and then just hanging back and sniping gives you a great chance at this. Now, you can also try Living Dead but the map for that is all personal preference, though it definitely is doable. Pick your poison.

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2900cR
Well, it seems as though you will be playing a lot of Multiplayer Matchmaking regardless today, thanks to all the other challenges. Just going for a Running Riot will likely keep you busy for hours. Now, winning three games in multiplayer Matchmaking should hopefully come while working on the other challenges but here are some tips to help you. Stick to gametypes with only two teams, try to play with friends, and aim for maps and gametypes you know. Probably not a good time to explore some potentially infuriating matchmaking games.

  1. Reach participation will drop like a rock in the wake of Halo 4, especially after xmas. Don't get me wrong, I love Reach but I plan on playing it no time soon.

    1. Pretty much. Playing Reach right now would completely mess me up for Halo 4. I think it will have a small but steady contingent of player who simply do not like Halo 4, as there was for Halo 3, and Halo 2.
