The Challenges:
We Are the Champions - Win 9 matchmaking Slayer matches. - 2750 XP
So, winning a match is something we should all be familiar with due to the Monthly Challenge which is asking for a hundred and seventeen wins this month. Hopefully everyone is well on their way to, or has already completed that challenge. Now, this challenge specifically stipulates winning Slayer matches in War Games this week. Objective gametypes are right out, then, so here are the playlists which will count: Infinity Slayer, Big Team Infinity Slayer, SWAT, Regicide, Flood, Team Slayer Pro, and Team Snipers (whenever it is live). This should not take too long to complete, to be honest, you just need to put some time into it and have a communicative team. Good luck.
Rolling Thunder - Earn 7 Killing Spree Medals. - 1500 XP
In War Games, a spree is earned when you score five kills without dying. The actually medal is called a "Killing Spree" and is then followed by a "Killing Frenzy," "Running Riot," "Rampage," and so on. You will need to earn seven of these today, thankfully not in a single game. Now Dominion was actually a very good playlist for me in terms of getting Sprees, as I could get two or three in a game before dying. I also had luck in playlists like Capture the Flag. Getting a vehicle like a Wraith is always helpful but remember that your goal is to generally stay alive. Do not go out of your way to score kills as that will likely ruin your spree. Will probably take five to nine games to complete.
The Weekly Challenges:
Deadeye - Kill 70 Players with a headshot. - 4250 XP
So, headshots can be scored with precision weapons, as well as the Magnum Pistol, and will come pretty commonly in matchmaking. Almost everyone is using precision weapons in their loadout so even if you are out of ammo you can likely pick one up. As well, Team Snipers is being thrust into the playlist hopper today and should also let you rack up the headshots. Now, Depending on the weapons, and the playlist, you will need to take down the shields of your enemies to score headshots. Grenades and melees are very effective at this but a plasma pistol burst is best. Seventy headshots should take six to ten games and probably done within a day or two.
Drilled - Get 18 kills with a Precision Loadout Weapon in a single match. - 6250 XP
Precision Loadout weapon in Halo 4 include the DMR, BR, Covenant Carbine, and the Light Rifle. You will need to level up quite a bit to unlock the last two, but the DMR and the BR are available right from the start. Eighteen kills is a lot, however, and you will likely need a few games to hit this feat. For which playlist you should be in, head for Team SWAT or Team Snipers (which only let you use precision weapons) or go for an objective gametype, like Oddball or Capture the Flag. Capture the Flag is the best since the games almost always last the entire time limit as no one ever really reaches five score. Just stick to your loadout weapon and you should be able to hit twenty or so kills after a few tries.

ReplyDeleteDeadeye weekly keeps resetting to what I got in the last match, thought it worked fine yesterday? Perhaps caused by today having a Deadeye challenge (although that worked fine for me across two matches)...
