The Challenges:
Deadeye - Kill 12 Players with a headshot. - 1350 XP
So, did you know that Team SWAT is live now? It appears to be so. For those who are unaware, Team SWAT is a playlist where no one has shields and everyone has precision weapons. It is fun as hell but, more importantly, it is great for scoring headshots. This will be an interesting version of SWAT as players will have access to the BR (Battle Rifle) and the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle). The DMR is better at long range than the BR, which starts to clean up at mid-range. This means that the larger maps will likely require a DMR and smaller maps you are probably better suited to using the BR. At close range, whipping out the Magnum is your best bet and then finally meleeing. SWAT is a team (4v4) based playlist and I believe that the score goes to sixty kills, so twelve kills is less than a quarter of that. Whether you prefer larger or smaller maps is something for you to figure out on your own. May take a few games to get your bearing and start scoring twelve or more kills.

The Pistolero - Get 9 kills with a Secondary Weapon in a single Match. - 2350 XP
I would assume that the reason we are seeing this today is due to SWAT making its appearance in War Games Matchmaking. We had this challenge last week (on 11/7/12) for the exact same XP. You would wish that they would not be duplicating challenges already, but perhaps they just though this one was fitting due to SWAT. Now, the Secondary Weapon in SWAT is the Magnum Pistol which is also able to score you one shot headshot kills. I would not try for this on the larger maps, as the Magnum simply does not have the range, so try for it on the smaller maps. You can try for this while working on the "Deadeye" challenge, but using the pistol is likely to make your overall kill count lower, so twelve kills maybe out of range.

The Weekly Challenges:
The Kingslayer - Earn 80 Regicides. - 4350 XP
So Regicide was the first playlist we actually got challenges for, and it seems that we will have even more to do this week. Personally, I hate the playlist. There is no compulsion to kill the King so most players will instead attack everyone going near the King. This is just like a well intentioned, but poorly executed off-shoot of Juggernaut. Regardless, you score a Regicide when you kill the King in this gametype. The highest you will typically see per game is about eight, though expect four or five typically. This is actually decently easy for a Weekly challenge as it can be completed in three or four days. However, if you would like to spread this out over the entire week, that is twelve Regicides a day.

Deposed! - Earn 18 Regicides in a single Match. - 6100 XP
In all honesty, this is fucking impossible unless you are boosting. The entire community found it exceedingly difficult to score ten in a single game last week. And don't say it is a challenge for a reason. The challenges are there for the community to complete with some work and a little aggravation. This challenge, however, will probably not be achieved by 99.9% of the community unless the score cap for the gametype was raised from three-hundred to six-hundred points or higher. You will get at least fifteen points for every Regicide you score, so that is already two-hundred and seventy point. As well, you need to not be the King and if the King is able to score some kills, it will be mathematically impossible to hit eighteen Regicides.

I fully expect this challenge to be changed later today but, if not, here are the few tips I have for this gametype. Try to play with friends in this gametype. You can easily work with friends to only go after the King. I would not call this boosting, but playing the gametype like it is meant to be played. If players are working together to kill the King, he/she doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of surviving anyway. If you do take the lead and become the king, you need to die immediately and hope your killer passes you in points. The more time you spend as King, and getting kills as the King, the less likely you are to get enough Regicides. Finally, Do not attack anyone besides the King. You have room for thirty points to cover whenever the king is above fifteen bounty. This means that you cannot, at all, afford to kill other players. Sorry, but this will not work any other way.

Update:
So, it appears that this challenge is not working properly, or is not described properly, but thanks to this it is extremely doable.  It seems to allow you to stack Regicides from multiple games.  The Regicides will not show up under the challenge immediately, but I waited a few minutes and then the challenge showed progress.  After that, just play another game to get you to eighteen.  I am unsure whether this will stack with more than two games, but it is worth a try if you are having trouble hitting around nine or so per game.

  1. Agreed, the 18 regicide challenge is crazy. The highest I saw playing normally last week was 8 regicides.

At 6100 XP I expect that people will be boosting for this one.
