Halo 4 Spartan Ops Challenges Guide - 11/29/12

The Challenges:
Shield Break - Kill 70 Jackals. - 1500 XP
So, it unfortunately seems like we will be stuck with these bland cookie-cutter challenges now that Spartan Ops challenges have been pared down to two challenges a week instead of two. This challenge has you scoring seventy Jackal kills this week. This includes all Jackals, ranged and shield-bearing. THe level with the most Jackals is the final chapter, The Didiact's Gift. If your are soloing this episode, you will more than hit the seventy you need by the time you are done. If you are play with friends, you may end up short so replay with fifth chapter to finish off the kills you need.

Destroyer of Grunts - Kill 100 Grunts. - 1100 XP
Well, you will not really need to do any extra work for this challenge. Grunts are always plentiful in Spartan Ops and all can be kill via a single headshot, unlike Reach. You will possibly need to replay a chapter or two solo if you initially played with a group. My advice is to play the fifth chapter as it will give you to most kills. However, even with a group there is a high chance you will get a hundred Grunt kills before the end. Just make sure you take out the Fuel Rod Grunts first, the little bastards.

  1. Yeah, kinda surprised we went from 5 to 2...disappointing as it takes some emphasis off of the story of Spartan Ops. It seems like if you complete the Legendary Campaign for that week in conjunction with the Spartan Ops they take place in that order. (SO1,C1,SO2,C2,SO3,C3...) Been playing Campaign by completing the challenges so I don't know if that's completely true...
