Halo 4 Spartan Ops Weekly Challenges - 12/3/12

The Challenges:
Creeping 'n Crawling - Kill 80 Crawlers. - 1250 XP
Well, we have moved up from two challenges to three. However, these challenges do not require much work, and can be taken care of in just the first two chapters as the final three chapters have no Prometheans to speak of. Crawlers are the easiest enemies to kill and are featured heavily on "Spartan Miller" and "Nothing Can Go Wrong." If you are doing a solo playthrough of the levels, you will not need to come back for any Crawler kills. If you are doing a full co-op session, replaying the first level later should take care of you.

Watchful Avenger - Kill 20 Watchers. - 1500 XP
Watchers are probably the most annoying enemies that you will face in Halo 4 and should always be the first enemies that you eliminate. The trick is to aim for the center part of the Watcher, instead of the rotors, which hitting cause hardly any damage. There are a ton of Watchers present in the first two Chapters of Episode five but the you will find the most right at the start of Chapter Two. About twelve or so will come down and start attacking. Playing that section alone twice will complete take care of this challenge for you.


Knightmare - Kill 10 Knights. - 2500 XP
So they covered Watchers and Crawlers, so that only leaves Knights, I guess, ignoring all the Covenant enemies which are the focus of the final three Chapters. Anyway, Knights are plentiful in both Chapters, just like the Crawlers and Watchers but they always appear near the end of the chapters. If you have a full team of four for these, you will likely need to play again to get to ten Knight kills. I would give the first chapter the edge in having more Knights, but also to having Rocket Launchers which makes them much easier to kill. You can also try for assassinations, but you can easily get killed while going for those, so you are better off with the Rockets. As well, pretty much all the weapons in the first Chapter respawn extremely fast.
