Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 12/15/12

The Challenges:

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
This will, hopefully, require a single game of Firefight Matchmaking, probably in the Score Attack playlist. A single game in that playlist, like 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse will net you about a hundred and twenty kills. There is a decent probability that you will end up just short of the kills needed so be prepared to play a second game to finish this off. Crashsite is preferred for the second game.



This is My Rifle... - Earn 20 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1000cR
Precision weapons in Reach include the DMR, the Sniper Rifle, the Needle Rifle, and the Covenant Focus Rifle. There are two playlists that are pretty much made for challenges like these and they are Team SWAT and Team Snipers. SWAT is probably the easier gametype as long as you are on a smaller map as the DMR is better suited in that environment. Now, this should take you two to three games to complete as you should be getting ten or so kills per game.


Fourth Horseman - Earn 6 multikills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 3000cR
A multikill is earned when you score multiple kills within four seconds of each other. You know these as Double Kills, Triple Kills, etc. Six in a match can be scored very easily if you go to the Grifball playlist. In Grifball, multikills are extremely commonplace once you get the timing down. Multi Team is probably the next best playlist as it will allow you to have a multitude of targets who are also attacking each other. Expect this to take a game or two to complete.


I Need Some Ammo - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Famine Skull on. - 2500cR
The Famine skull does very little in terms of difficulty when you are on Heroic. It causes all weapons on the ground to have only half as much ammunition as normal. To completely ignore this skull, I suggest you do a speedrun of the level Nightfall, which you can run through in under ten minutes using this guide here. Winter Contingency is the next easiest level to playthrough.
