Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 1/28/13

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 40 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3500cR
Well, a lot of multiplayer Matchmaking challenges today, to go along with the difficult Weekly Challenge asking for fifty wins this week. Even without that challenge, however, this one will be taken care of by the other daily challenges since it only asks for forty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking. "Aggressive Negotiations" will get you twenty kills while "Put Your Quarter Up" will likely get you a hundred or so kills. Really, no need to worry about any of this. Move on.

Blast Radius - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades. - 1000cR
This is the lone Firefight Matchmaking challenge of the day and there is a chance that you can complete it in a single game. First off, you are able to score grenade kills in Reach utilizing the Fragmentation (Frag) Grenade and the Plasma (Sticky) Grenade. Both can be found pretty regularly in Firefight as you will spawn with Frags after you die and dead Covies means a lot of Plasma grenades on the ground. Gruntpocalypse is the easiest gametypes for this challenge as you can easily get Grunts as they spawn. Pick a small map so the Grunts are more clustered. This may take two games but there is a chance to complete it in one.

Aggressive Negotiations - Earn at least 19 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1900cR
Challenges like these always look harder than they actually are. The reason they are not all that difficult is thanks to objective gametypes. Most notable of these is Grifball. Now, the average number of kills for most people in a slayer-based game is around twelve or so, well short of the nineteen needed for this challenge. Therefore, head to objective gametypes where there is no kill-limit messing with the game. Grifball will allow you to get thirty or so kills so that is your best option.

Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 10 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2900cR
Well, ten games to complete today. Thanks to the Weekly challenge, asking you to score fifty wins this week, you will be playing at least eight games today. If you can make all of those wins, awesome! If you are like the rest of us and are not that lucky, then expect to play extra games anyway. Get your eight wins and then worry about this challenge. As usual, quitting, disconnecting, or getting booted will cause games not to count for this challenge and for the Weekly so try and behave and hold off on rage-quitting.

The Weekly Challenge:
Clear Eyes, Full Hearts - Win 50 games in multiplayer Matchmaking this week. - 30343cR

So, fifty wins this week. This will, no doubt, take some work and dedication to accomplish, but we will more than likely get some help from other challenges this week that are also asking for wins. Seven days in a week means that seven wins a day will get you forty-nine wins, one short of the total needed. Therefore, aim for eight wins a day to be safe. This should give you some wiggle room later in the week if you run short on time. Here are some tips for scoring wins. First off, play in playlists that you enjoy and normally have success in. Now would not be a great time to find a new playlist that really annoys you. Secondly, play with people that you know and like. If you know your fellow players and have played with them before, you know their strengths and how to work as a team. Finally, take breaks. If you get to appoint where you are not really focused or are aggravated, stop playing and do something else.

  1. If you want to get this weekly challenge done quickly, send me a P/M to gamer tag "Mr Counselor" (without the quotes).

Super easy if you have two controllers and two XBox Live Logons (with two guests). Easy on Grifball. Hope to hear from you!

    1. Hello all. I am looking to get the Halo Reach: Weekly Challenge done quickly! If you want to get this weekly challenge done as well, send a message to GT "Mr Counselor" (without the quotes). It’s really super easy if you have two controllers and two XBox Live Logons (each log-on using a guests). By using this method, I can easily manage one team and someone else could manage the other. We could rip through this using Grifball. Hope to hear from you on XBOX, but if you prefer email, shoot me a message at mrcounselor_halo@yahoo.com

  3. Make sure you all keep the controllers active. Having a player go idle for multiple games can result in bans. I know, has happened to me before.
