Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 1/13/13

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
This challenge should not take a lot of work today due to all the other challenges that will be getting you kills. "Eyes in the Sky" will get you about twenty-five to thirty kills, "Flat Tire" will get you three-hundred to five-hundred kills, and "Cannon Fodder" will get you around seventy to a hundred kills. All in all, well above the meager a hundred kills needed to complete this challenge.



Eyes in the Sky - Kill 20 enemies with the Designator in ONI on Heroic. - 2500cR
For this challenge your best option is to load up ONI: Swordbase from Rally Point Bravo and get to the gate as fast as you can. In the gateway, to your right, will be the Target Designator. About fifteen or so enemies will come down the ramp in front of you so just tag them and let it rip. Try to tag an enemy instead of a spot on the ground so it is more accurate. To get to twenty kills you will likely need to reload the current checkpoint and do it again.


Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
Well, who doesn't like blowing up vehicles? I, well, I used to, but then they changed the way enemies spawn so vehicles appear way less often. Now, the only map you can really do this on successfully will be Holdout as it has static Banshee spawns which send you Banshees every two to four minutes. Make the game last as long as possible to get about three to four kills by kiting around the final enemies, typically Hunters. Now, 2X Score Attack will not work for this challenge. Instead, aim for Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack. Expect this to take three to four games to complete or maybe even two if you get really lucky.

Cannon Fodder - Kill 50 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today. - 2000cR
When these challenges say "infantry-class foes" what they really seem to mean are Grunts. The custom challenge work properly in this regard but not these ones. Now, Grunts can be found on practically every level of the game but it is easiest to just start off with Winter Contingency and work your way through. There are several sections with a crap ton of Grunts so do not be afraid to die and start that section over to score more kills. Fifty kills will not take long and will likely be completed before you get to ONI: Swordbase.
