Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 1/19/13

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
This challenge will take very little work at all today thanks to the other various challenge which have you racking up a bunch of kills. First of is "Now I have a Machine Gun", which has you scoring thirty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking, followed by "Short, Controlled Bursts", which has you getting two-hundred kills in campaign. Finally, we have "Un, Deux, Trois" and the bunch of kills it will add on top of "Now I have a Machine Gun". Nothing to worry about today for this challenge.

Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 30 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2343cR
Automatic weapons in Halo Reach include the AR, the Plasma Rifle, the Plasma Repeater, the Needler, and the Brute Spiker. You will not really get to see the Brute Spike too much in multiplayer Matchmaking so focus on the AR and the Needler. Multi Team has always fared well for me with this challenge since you almost always start out with an AR and everyone is killing each other. Due to trying to get wins, however, you may want to stick with Team Slayer. This will only take a few games to complete, however, so it will likely be done before "Un, Deux, Trois".


Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 200 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today. - 3000cR
As stated above, automatic weapons in Reach include the AR (Assault Rifle), Needler, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Repeater, and the Brute Spiker. For this challenge, I would start with Winter Contingency on Heroic and play through exclusively using automatic weapons. Any time you damage an enemy and an AI Teammate takes the kill, it will still count for you so make sure you damage large groups of enemies first. This will likely take into well past ONI: Swordbase so I would recommend skipping Nightfall if need be and going back to ONI to finish this one up.

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2900cR
For those of you who have been playing Halo 4, you ought to be quite used to these challenges by now, simply asking you to score wins. These of course will be a little easier as they can be in any playlist and gametype that we wish. Focus on the "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge first and then move to this one. Stick to gametypes with only two teams and pick either objective or slayer games depending on your preference. Three games should take a pretty small amount of time so try to have fun.
