Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 7/4/11

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR
You will get this challenge in a single game of Firefight. You will be playing at least two games of Firefight for the "Be Their Huckleberry" and "Hyper Lethal Vector" challenges. That means that, like usual, these are free credits much like the Weekly Challenge this week for anyone who does all the challenges every day like I do.

Be Their Huckleberry - Kill 50 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the pistol. - 1000cR
This challenge should be easy to complete in your first game of Firefight. Pick Gruntpocalypse and use only the pistol. Go for headshots to help you along with the "Hyper Lethal Vector" challenge. Remember that Grunt Ultras will take to shots since you have to knock the Helmet off of them first. Once you have completed this challenge, stick with your pistol or switch over to the DMR to finish off the "Hyper Lethal Vector" challenge.

Storm's Comin' - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with Mythic and Thunderstorm on. - 1750cR
I hope you are not tired of playing Nightfall. That will, without a doubt, be the fastest way to finish off this challenge. Set the difficulty to Heroic and turn on the two skulls Mythic and Thunderstorm. There is no time limit for this challenge and there is also nothing saying that you cannot die. Simply run through the level and you should have this challenge done in five minutes. Follow the guide here. Video of the run is here. I would also hope that, by now, your "Flawless Cowboy" commendation is progressing nicely after all these speedruns of Nightfall on Heroic or Legendary.

Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 150 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1125cR
Gruntpocalypse will be the answer for this challenge and "Be Their Huckleberry" as well. You will get about fifty headshots using the pistol for the "Be Their Huckleberry" challenge which is still leaving you with another hundred headshots to go. The most you can get in a single game of Firefight in the Score Attack playlist is a hundred and twenty kills. Therefore, another game will be required to complete this challenge. My advice is to load up a game of Crashsite and go for headshots until the challenge is completed.

The Weekly Challenge:
Your Daily Dose - Complete all of the Daily Challenges for a given day. - 7777cR
Well, I was hoping for a much more difficult Weekly Challenge, but it apparently was going to happen. Either way, you can have this challenge done today. Just complete the four Daily challenges for today and you will receive a whopping seven-thousand, seven-hundred, an seventy-seven credits to put towards items in the Halo Reach Armory. Sounds like fun. As a note, this may be the last Weekly Challenge that Bungie does and the 343 Industries will possibly be taking over the challenge. That, however, is speculation based on the talk of the two companies to the fans. None of that is confirmed.

  1. This is the first day in a while that I have completed the challenges before reading your guide. I still wanted to read it, just to see how you'd go about things, and turns out it was the exact same way I did.

One question for the Nightfall thing. I've never been able to do it (without dying and within even like 14 minutes). My biggest problem is when I get to the second area with buildings (crossing through the garage after the first set of buildings). This area usually takes me 6 minutes because I don't know how to run/sneak through it and I usually end up killing every enemy just to get it done. I haven't watched the video yet because youtube is screwy on my computer, but I was just wondering how exactly you navigate that area? I can't get from the garage to the gutas without dying multiple times.

  2. I had the same problem and had to watch the video to figure it out. the two things i messed up were I was't waiting for Jun to distract them and I was trying to go up the stairs and sprint across a short distance. you have to go out the door on the ground floor, go strait forward and used the wall infrount of you for cover as you head right. then the sprint across to the garage is easy..er. there is a health pack inside and then it is up the stairs to kill the grunt on the turret then run right. you will still have to deal with that shilded jackel and a grunt, also an elite will probably shot at you but once you round the corner they dont follow. good luck!
