The Challenges:
Requiem For A Friend - Complete Requiem co-operatively on Legendary difficulty. - 12000 XP
Now that we have twice completed the "slightly, harder than Legendary but not quite LASO" weekly challenges, we have moved on to the Legendary co-op phase of challenges. Well, at least it is different. Now, after Dawn, Requiem is the next easiest level in Halo 4 because it lacks Prometheans. The level, however, is a bit on the long side and has plenty of Elites for you to worry about. A teammate will, of course, make the run slightly harder, but not by much. Make sure you utilize you armor abilities and just take it slow. Another thing to be mindful of is that you use appropriate weapons at appropriate times. I.e. do not waste a rocket on a single Grunt that you can just go melee. Conserving ammunition is very important for this level.
He Is Made Of Iron - Complete any Campaign Mission on Heroic or higher difficulty with the Iron skull. - 18000 XP
Another new challenge to join the group! Hurray! (Please note that is a mock cheer.) Anyway, the Iron skull technically has two different effects. If you are playing a solo game, every time you die, you will start at the beginning of the level. If you are playing co-operatively, you will reset to the last checkpoint every time someone dies. Obviously, with this challenge being easier on co-op, I would recommend that you do it the same time as "Requiem For A Friend." Requiem is not a short level, and can be difficult in spots, but the only other viable option is to spend more time running through the level "Dawn." The time difference likely is not all that much. Just kill two birds with one stone and be done with it.
