The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Well, the hope today is that this challenge will be taken care of by the "Flat Tire" challenge which it most definitely will. It is asking you to get ten vehicle kills in Firefight Matchmaking. To get that, you will need to complete several games in the Score Attack playlist which will likely yield about a hundred and twenty kills per game, just enough to complete this challenge. There is a definite chance that you can end up short of this number, however, so pick a large map. Covies are less likely to kill themselves on larger maps.
Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
This, as usual will be the focal point challenge of the day and will likely take all of your attention. As well, you need the full ten vehicles instead of five. Now, the only map you can really do this on successfully will be Holdout as it has static Banshee spawns which send you Banshees every two to four minutes. Make the game last as long as possible to get about three to four kills by kiting around the final enemies, typically Hunters. Unfortunately, 2X Score Attack will not work for this challenge. Instead, aim for Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack. Expect this to take four to five games to complete or maybe even three if you get really lucky.
Linked up with Bungie.net - Link your gamertag with Bungie.net and play a game in Halo: Reach Matchmaking. - 1cR
Well, this challenge again. This is a relic from back when Bungie was still in charge of Halo. Alas, that time has ended. Now, this may or may not get changed later in the day but last time, I believe they left it on here. If you were not on Bungie.net before the switch, I do not believe there is any way for you to complete this challenge but it is only for a single measly credit. If you were on Bungie.net with a linked gamertag before the switch, just play a game and this one, lone credit can be yours!
Who's the Big Winner? - Win 15 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
Less than two weeks ago we had this challenge for three less wins and it was worth triple the credits. Not sure what the hell happened there. This is a lot of wins so be ready for the long haul. Well, scoring wins will all be about playing to your strengths and sticking to gametypes with only two teams of no more than five players. If you are really good at Slayer, than stick to Slayer. If objective gametypes are your thing, play those. There is no set strategy for scoring a win in Halo as it is highly dependent on your team and your competition. Just try to have fun and take breaks, a lot of breaks. Get the other challenges done first and then worry about this one.
