Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 4/6/13

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3800cR
Well, most likely these two-hundred and fifty kills will not get taken care of by the other daily challenges today. The "Explosive Ordnance Distribution" will get you about twenty or so kills, maybe thirty, depending on how many games it takes you to complete. The "Three Dog Fight" challenge will likely not many kills, maybe thirty at most. Finally, the "Stronger, Harder" challenge will net you very little kills. However, you need to work on the Weekly Challenge, most likely, which is liable to bring in about three hundred to four hundred kills. So, work on the Weekly Challenge and this one is taken care of.

Explosive Ordnance Distribution - Earn 7 kills with ordnance weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2400cR
Well, the second time we are getting this challenge in a week. Guess we do not use these weapons enough? Explosive Ordnance Weapons in Reach include the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, the Concussion Rifle, and the Plasma Launcher. These weapons are not easy to find anymore since the Action Sack playlist was taken down. Now, your best chance is the third phase of the Invasion gametype in which you will have access to either the Concussion Rifle or the Grenade Launcher. You will have two chances at this if the game is pretty even and you only need seven kills in a single game. I would expect this challenge to take multiple tries and you might want to attempt Invasion Slayer as well.


Three Dog Fight - Earn a Triple Kill in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Wow, this challenge looks super hard. I mean, there is really no way they can honestly expect us to have any possible chance of completing this challenge today. Just kidding, this is easy as hell. Anyway, a Triple Kill is three kills made all within four seconds of each other. You only need one today, unlike yesterday where you needed two, so this should not take too much time. My personal preference is Grifball as it allows you to get a ton of kills and multi kills. Triple Kills are a very common occurrence in that playlist. Take care of "Explosive Ordnance Distribution" first, however, as you might get one during that.

Stronger, Harder - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Famine, Tough Luck, and Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR
Oh, look! It's a challenge to run to run whichever campaign mission you want on Heroic or harder with a random assortment of skulls on. Guess what is the easiest way to complete this challenge. That is right! A speedrun of Nightfall, a guide to which can be seen right here. Now, the Famine skull will cause all weapons on the ground to have less ammo, the Tough Luck skull will cause enemies to dodge more often, and the Thunderstorm skull will upgrade all enemies. In the end, these have absolutely no affect on us as we are skipping by all the enemies and will not be picking up any weapons during these speedrun. This should take seven to ten minutes to complete.
