Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 4/9/13

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Well, the other challenges today touch all the main modes of Reach but they will also bring in a lot of kills. "Hyper Lethal Vector" will bring in about two-hundred and forty kills, "L.D. Pillar" will bring in about a hundred and thirty or so, and the "Double Nickels" challenge will bring in about thirty to forty kills. Regardless, this challenge should be taken care of by all the others as the total kills provided are well above the a hundred needed for this challenge. Just relax and take the easy credits.

Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 200 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR
The easiest way to score headshots in Firefight Matchmaking is in the Score Attack playlist. First off, you will need a headshot capable weapon (DMR, Magnum Pistol, Needle Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Covenant Focus Rifle). Almost all gametypes will allow you access to that. Now, what you need next are targets that can easily be felled by headshot. Typically, this would mean Grunts which means that the best gametype for you would be Gruntpocalypse. 2X Score Attack is also an option but you will need to work harder for those headshots. Since this is the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today, expect to play two games to hit two-hundred headshots.

L.D. Pillar - Complete The Pillar of Autumn, without dying, with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Touch Luck on. - 5000cR
Along with the "A Walk in the..."challenge, "L.D. Pillar" will take up a large amount of the day. The Pillar of Autumn is a decently long level and these skulls will actually make the level more difficult. Mythic will double the health of all enemies, Thunderstorm will upgrade them all, Tilt changes how much damage you and your enemies do, and Tough Luck makes enemies dodge more often. See the LASO guide for tips and tricks to get through this level. Remember that you can die as much as you want but you need to Save and Quit and reload the level before the last objective to complete the challenge.

Double Nickels - Earn 2 Killing Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 3000cR
A Killing Spree is earned in multiplayer Matchmaking when you score five kills without dying. First off is a Killing Spree at five kills and then a Killing Frenzy at ten kills and so on. You only need two in a single game so this is not some great feat and you do not need a Killing Frenzy. Now, Living Dead is almost always a good playlist for this challenge, especially on a map like Boardwalk. You can also try for this in many objective games types. The choice is yours so have fun with it and try to take it easy or head to different gametypes if you are having trouble with the challenge.
