Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 4/29/13

The Challenges:
More Than a Handful - Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3500cR
It was almost a multiplayer Matchmaking exclusive day, sparing the "Survivor" challenge down there. That is fine with me, however. Now, seventy-seven kills in a single day is not a lot but they do all need to be in multiplayer Matchmaking. Complete "Sticky Icky Icky" and "Five-time Champ" first as they are likely to provide a bunch of kills for this challenge and may even completely take care of it. If you do end up short, head to Grifball and work on the Weekly Challenge. That should do well enough to finish off this challenge.

Sticky Icky Icky - Earn 3 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2250cR
Sticky grenades (aka Plasma Grenades) are one of the more interesting weapons in the Halo sandbox and we have had them since Halo CE. You need to get three sticky kills with these in a single game. That means that you stick someone and then the grenade explodes and kills them. It does not count if people near the player die from the explosion, it only counts the player you stuck. The best playlist for this challenge is Multi Team since you can get the Elite Slayer gametype where you always spawn with a single Plasma Grenade. In Multi Team you have a bunch of targets so I would try specifically for those. Now, Slayer Pro in the MLG playlist is also an option, but you do not have as many targets. Remember, you need three in a single game.

Five-time Champ - Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 4343cR
Well, time to win some games, right? That is what this challenge is all about. Now, you need five wins today, which may very well take up to ten games to complete. The trick to scoring wins in Reach is to give yourself the right set up. First off, don't play games that have more than two teams (or FFAs). More teams automatically lowers you chances of winning. Stick with gametypes you enjoy and are comfortable with as you will likely play better in them. Finally, play with teammate you know and normally win with since you are more likely to win that way. Complete "Stick Icky Icky" first as you might get some wins while working on it.

Survivor - Earn 9 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is earned when you score ten kills in a row without dying. You can get up to five sprees, four short of what you need for this challenge, by scoring fifty kills without dying. You should be scoring these quite easily so this challenge should take little time to complete. This challenge does not stipulate just Killing Sprees so weapon and other miscellaneous sprees will also count. Once you hit fifty kills I would just die so you can start those sprees over and have this done in no time flat. 2X Score Attack and Gruntpocalypse are the preferred gametypes for this challenge. This is the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today so do it whenever you feel like.

The Weekly Challenge:
Multiplicative - Earn 200 Multikills in multiplayer Matchmaking this week. - 25000cR

I thought that we had actually seen the last of this challenge for a while but, Hey!, it is this same damn challenge again. I guess it is safe to assume that this will be a permanent Weekly Challenge and we will eventually have permanent Daily Challenges. That will be a sad day actually. Now, a multikill in multiplayer Matchmaking is earned when you score multiple kills within four seconds of each other. You can do this with up two ten kills for nine multikills. Now, two-hundred over the next week means about thirty a day, with some room to do less than that. The best playlist for this challenge will be Grifball, as you can get these thirty multikills in two to three matches, or one if you have a really good game.
