Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 2/24/13

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Well, you have plenty of challenges bringing in kills today, sparing the "Just a Shower" challenge which will only bring in about ten or so kills. The other challenges, however, will bring in a bunch of kills. "Cannon Fodder" will bring in about a hundred and forty kills since you will be killing non-infantry foes. "Blast Radius" will give you a hundred and twenty-five or so kills since it will take a single game to hit forty grenade kills. All in all, this challenge is taken care of for you so just play and have fun.

Cannon Fodder - Kill 100 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today. - 2250cR
When these challenges say "infantry-class foes" what they really seem to mean are Grunts. The custom challenge work properly in this regard but not these ones. Now, Grunts can be found on practically every level of the game but it is easiest to just start off with Winter Contingency and work your way through. There are several sections with a crap ton of Grunts so do not be afraid to die and start that section over to score more kills. Seventy-five kills will not take long and will likely be completed before you get to ONI: Swordbase. You will get a few kills while doing "Just a Shower" but not much.

Blast Radius - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades. - 1000cR
This is the lone Firefight Matchmaking challenge of the day and there is a chance that you can complete it in a single game. First off, you are able to score grenade kills in Reach utilizing the Fragmentation (Frag) Grenade and the Plasma (Sticky) Grenade. Both can be found pretty regularly in Firefight as you will spawn with Frags after you die and dead Covies means a lot of Plasma grenades on the ground. Gruntpocalypse is the easiest gametypes for this challenge as you can easily get Grunts as they spawn. Pick a small map so the Grunts are more clustered. This may take two games but there is a chance to complete it in one.

Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR
I think I can assume that most people who are here reading this have been here for a while and are aware of the tricks and strategies for challenges like this, so I will be pretty succinct. Run through the level Nightfall, using the guide here, with the Thunderstorm Skull on This skull will upgrade all enemies to their next level, which is unfortunately Ultra for most. This should take about seven to ten minutes to complete, maybe faster, and hopefully no stress as the route is pretty simple to run.
