Halo 4 War Games Daily Challenges Guide - 2/6/13

The Challenges:
In Your Face - Earn 15 CQC Medals. - 3000 XP
There are three Close Quarters Combat medals in Halo 4 and they are the Melee, Beat Down, and Bulltrue medals. Remember that, for the Beat Down medal, when behind an enemy, just tap melee instead of holding it to perform a Beat Down. To get these, you will typically want to be on a smaller map in an objective oriented game as it will allow you to get as many medals as possible. Grifball is back now but it is amazing how few things count as close quarters combat and so the medals do not yield any help with this challenge. In Infection you can typically score Bulltrues and Melee medal with ease but also try gametypes like Oddball and such. Hitting twelve will not be an issue and, even if you fall short, you can score some in Capture the Flag once you go to get the needed wins in that.

Raise the Flag - Win 2 matchmaking Capture the Flag matches. - 5000 XP
Still getting really tired of these challenges that are only focused on winning. We seriously do not need one every single day. Thankfully, it is for very little wins and gives a bunch of experience points, which is definitely against 343i's nature. Capture the Flag is a gametype where you need a communicative team to help you capture the flag, but also defend you own flag. The one shitty thing about capture the flag is that it often goes down to the time limit with no one getting the required five scores to win it. Most of the maps are simply too big for that. So, one way to speed it up is to pick smaller maps. Two games should not take terribly long to win so enjoy these very easy credits. They will probably not stay like this for too long.
