Halo 4 War Games Daily and Weekly Challenges - 2/11/13

The Challenges:
Fully Automated - Get 10 kills with an Automatic Loadout Weapon in a single match. - 5000 XP
There are only three Automatic Loadout Weapons in Halo 4 and those are the Assault Rifle, the Strom Rifle, and the Suppressor. You will likely not get as many kills with these weapons as precision weapons without actively trying for them since the effective range of the weapons is so much less. Whichever gun you pick is up to you but this info my help you make a decision. The Suppressor has the widest spread but seems to have the most powerful shot. The Storm Rifle has the smallest spread but the weakest shots. The AR is pretty comfortable with a medium spread and medium damage, therefore making it the most deadly, in my opinion. Large team gametypes or objective gametypes on smaller maps like Adrift or Haven will serve you best for getting these kills. Ten isn't too large of a number, just requires you to only be using these weapons.

The Kingslayer - Earn 5 Regicides. - 3000 XP
Again, I am loving the lack of challenges focused on winning. To me, that is awesome and this trend should continue for the next few weeks. It won't, but it really should. Now, Regicides are earned when you kill the King in a Regicide match, whether Team or Free-for-all. Whether you play standard Regicide or Team Regicide, slaying the King should be a regular occurrence, though less often in Team Regicide because you have an entire team to contend with. If you find it hard to come by King kills, head to the standard (FFA) Regicide and you can easily rack up the Regicides needed in one or two games (it is not uncommon to get almost ten Regicides in Free-for-all).

The Weekly Challenges:
Deadeye - Kill 150 Players with a headshot. - 20000 XP
So, headshots can be scored with precision weapons, being the DMR, the BR, the Sniper Rifle, the Covenant Carbine, the Beam Rifle, the Light Rifle, or the Binary Cannon as well as the Magnum Pistol, and will come pretty commonly in matchmaking. Almost everyone is using precision weapons in their loadout so even if you are out of ammo you can likely pick one up. As well, Team Snipers is being thrust into the playlist hopper today and should also let you rack up the headshots. Now, depending on the weapons, and the playlist, you will need to take down the shields of your enemies to score headshots. Grenades and melees are very effective at this but a plasma pistol burst is best. A hundred and fifty headshots should take ten to twenty games and probably can be done within a two or three days.

Rolling Thunder - Earn 20 Killing Spree medals. - 10000 XP
A Killing Spree in War Games is earned when you score five kills in a row. As this challenge stipulates "Killing Spree medals" other sprees such as weapon and miscellaneous sprees will not count. Twenty in a single week is not at all a large task as long as you stick to objective games where it is easiest to get sprees. You will need at least three a day this week to complete this challenge but can likely score more. First off, Dominion has been the best gametype for me in terms of getting sprees, especially on Vortex where you can get in a Wraith and just sit back and defend your base while attacking the middle base. I would expect to get two or so sprees per game so this one is pretty much taken care of after a few games. Flood and Regicide can also be good playlists for Sprees as well as Big Team Infinity Slayer if you get luck and get a tank.
