Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 10/9/12

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
This challenge should be taken care of by all the other challenges today, including the Weekly Challenge. A hundred and eighty kills is not a lot to begin with but her is the detailed coverage. "On the Sixth Respawn..." will get you about a hundred and twenty kills for the one game you will play for it. "If It Bleeds..." will earn you a very minor number of kills, maybe five to ten. Now, working on "Oops! All Kills" and the Weekly Challenge will earn you another hundred and fifty kills. That puts you at over two-hundred kills for the day, well outdoing the hundred and eighty kills needed for this challenge.

On the Sixth Respawn... - Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game with fewer than 5 deaths. - 2000cR
They really need to lock down these credit values so they make some sort of sense, as you will see below. Apparently, this challenge is worth more credits than no dying for six rounds, which definitely makes sense. For all wondering, that last sentence was sarcastic. Now, there is no special strategy for this challenge since most players get through Firefight dying less than five times. Gruntpocalypse and 2X Score Attack in the Score Attack playlist are you best bet for this challenge. Just go out, slay the enemies, and then let the game finish. These are really easy credits.

If It Bleeds... - Find and kill the Gold Range-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Normal or harder. - 5000cR
It is stuff like this that really confuses me. We had this challenge just a few days ago and I think it was worth fifteen-hundred credits. What is basically the same challenge, today, is worth five thousand credits. It hardly makes any sense. Well allow me to quote: One of the highest appearing ones, at least for me, has been on the mission ONI: Swordbase. You can load up Rally Point Bravo and precede to the base. The first location he may appear is at the top of the ramp running to the original starting point for the level. Track him down fast as he will eventually disappear. The second place he may appear is further in, near the Shotgun spawn for multiplayer. He is very easy to flank and assassinate. If he does not appear at either of those, you can easily restart the mission and try again.

Oops! All Kills - Earn 10 Multikills in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Well, multi kills should not at all be a problem to obtain today, thanks tothe Weekly Challenge. The Weekly Challenge has you trying to kill a thousand enemies this week in multiplayer Matchmaking and Grifball is your best chance for that. Grifball is also your best chance for scoring multikills, which are when you score multiple kills, each within four seconds of each other but uninterrupted by death (or so it has seemed recently). You can likely score ten to fifteen multi kills per game, therefore making this challenge a piece of cake. If you do not like Grifball, head to Multi Team, where there are just a bunch of targets.

  2. The elite zealot challenge was actually worth more credits last week than it is worth today. Today is 5000 and last week it was 5343.
