The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
So, it is my feeling today, that you will not need to worry about this challenge. The reasoning for this is that the "Scoped" challenge is getting you a hundred and twenty kills, "Home Field Advantage" will get you about twenty or thirty, and "L.D. Package" has the potential to get you well more than forty kills. This puts you at, at least, a hundred and eighty kills if not over by twenty to forty. If you do happen to fall short of this, which can happen if you let your real and AI Teammates do all the work, then play a second game in the Score Attack playlist to get your remaining kills. By the way, hope you started the Weekly Challenge yesterday, because starting it now will render you unable to complete it.
Scoped - Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with precision weapons. - 2000cR
I am a huge fan or precision weapons. To me, they are the most useful weapons in Reach and far more versatile than any others. Now, a hundred kills in Firefight Matchmaking is actually really easy to obtain if you know the right gametype and playlist to do it in. For our purposes, the playlist is Score Attack and the gametype is 2X Score Attack. This gametype will start you with a DMR and an AR but ammunition will not be unlimited. Enemies will die extremely fast since you are dealing double damage. All total, you will get about a hundred and twenty kills in this gametype which will have this done in one game. Now, this challenge can be done over multiple games, so you can spread it out if you are playing with friend or just play a lot regularly anyway.
L.D. Package - Complete The Package, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 5000cR
You all remember this level, right? It is the one upon which we had to do a LASO run last week for that Weekly Challenge. It will be slightly easier today, however, since there are less skulls on (only double damage, upgraded enemies, modified damage tables, and more enemies dodging) and you can die as much as you want. The challenge does say "without dying" but you can get around that stipulation by progressing to the end, dying as much as you want, and then save and quit before completing the last objective. Hit "Resume Campaign" and then finish the level without dying. The only real hard part of this level is the Firefight like part at the end. Here is the LASO guide, which should help some.
Home Field Advantage - Win 2 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2100cR
Seeing the name of this challenge, as well as the challenge before it, I was immediately feeling that the day was going to be irritating for most of us. However, you only need to win two games. Two measly games. I do not think this challenge has every asked for a lower number. At this point, since only two wins are needed, it is really down to your personal preferences in terms of what gametypes and playlists you like and which ones you do well in. Try to stick to gametypes with only two teams of no greater than five players on each side. This will increase your chances of being on the winning team. As well, play with friends as you will communicate better with them than other random players.
