The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
Well, you will be playing in all the major modes today for these challenges and, thanks to the Weekly Challenge, you should probably try to complete all of them. Now, this challenge, asking you to score a hundred and fifty kills in Firefight Matchmaking, will be not at all difficult to complete. You will typically get about a hundred and twenty kills per game of Firefight Matchmaking in the Score Attack playlist. Two games in this playlist and you will be all done. For the first game, go for 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse as those are the two fastest gametypes. For the final game, you can play either of those again or you can try Crashsite where you can get the remaining kills you need and then just die or let the generator explode to end the game.
Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
It is my hope today that, with "The Love of the Game" challenge, asking you to complete seventeen games today in multiplayer Matchmaking, will pretty much take care of this challenge. You would need to average less than three kills a game for you to not get this challenge done. However, you should be averaging about twelve or so kills a game so you should expect this challenge to be completed in about four or five games. If you are not going to complete "The Love of the Game" challenge, then Grifball is a great option which can get you fifty or more kills in a single game, but expect two games.
Mythic Evasion - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with Tough Luck and Mythic on. - 3500cR
As we all know by now, Campaign challenges asking you to run through a level with certain Skulls on and on a certain difficulty are easily completed by performing a speedrun of the level Nightfall. Now, the Mythic Skull will double the health of all enemies and Tough Luck will have them dodging your grenades and fire more, meaning that a regular playthrough of any level becomes much harder. The speedrun should take no more than ten minutes to complete if you follow the guide located here. As an alternative, you can also run through the level Winter Contingency very easily, but that will take about ten minutes longer to complete. The choice is yours.
The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3700cR
You have to wonder if they think that everyone gets off Labor Day. I mean, not all countries even have the holiday so I guess it is always a little awkward when challenges like these pop up that are clearly aimed at a crowd that has the day off. Either way, seventeen games is a ton for a single day. Here are some tips to get through them. First off, play with friends and try to have fun with it; might as well. Secondly, stick to slayer gametypes with no more than two teams. Objective gametypes (sparing Grifball) can take a very long time and you need quick games today. Thirdly, Try to stick to gametypes you enjoy. And, finally, take breaks. Sitting down to play seventeen games in a row is a habit you should never, ever pick up. It will help you mentally and physically if you take breaks every hour or so to stretch and move around. Remember, as well, that quitting, getting kicked, or disconnecting from a game will cause it not to count, so do not do that.

Sorry about the delay in getting this one up. Didn't have work so I actually slept in some.
ReplyDeleteHaha, same here. You still postred before I got up.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually only 18000 credits for the weekly challenge, and unfortunately not 180000 which would have made it worthwhile. As two good games of grifball can give >18000, why bother :(
ReplyDeleteAhh, knew I missed something.
Deletedo you have to complete the weekly one to get the achievement for " a new challenge" , or just the daily challenges?
ReplyDeleteNope, just all four daily challenges.
Deletehey man i like your blog, i just wanted to say that you miss calculated on the weekly challenge its only 18000, 180000 would be almost hitting the daily credit cap haha
ReplyDelete30,343cR for doing 16 daily challenges about 2 weeks back, and now 18,000cR for doing 24? These challenges are so messed up...
