Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 9/2/12

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
You should have no issue with completing this challenge today like it is most days again. If you do not believe what I say, just look below at "Cannon Fodder" or the point that you need to play in the Score Attack playlist for the "Survivor" challenge. As well, these kills can be in any game mode of Reach so do not feel restricted if you are not going for the other challenge. Move along now, there are more difficult, or at least time-consuming, challenges for you to look at and get ready for.

Cannon Fodder - Kill 100 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today. - 2250cR
So, if you look a little further down the page you will see a second campaign challenge. However, I would not recommend doing it at the same time as this challenge since the other one is so easily down. Do not worry about it for the moment and just focus on this one. When these challenges say "infantry-class foes," what they really mean are Grunts. The custom challenge work properly in this regard but not these ones. Now, Grunts can be found on practically every level of the game but it is easiest to just start off with Winter Contingency and work your way through. There are several sections with a crap ton of Grunts so do not be afraid to die and start that section over to score more kills. Might take you into ONI: Swordbase to accomplish.

Survivor - Earn 9 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
So, a spree in Firefight Matchmaking is when you score ten kills uninterrupted by death in a game. You can get up to five sprees before this becomes more spread out (i.e. fifty kills in between each spree). For this challenge, this should also include weapon sprees and the like, but getting a gametype like Sniper Attack or such has become a lot harder in the Score Attack playlist. The simplest advice for this challenge is to just hit fifty kills and then die on purpose. Hit forty straight kills at least and then you are all done with this challenge. In terms of gametypes, 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse should do the trick. Should only take a single game as well.

...Is a Virtue - Score 40,000 points in any Campaign mission with less than 3 deaths. - 2000cR
So forty-thousand points is not really a lot, but the chance of you hitting this number on missions like Winter Contingency is low unless you have the Iron Skull and other turned on, which I would not recommend for this the "Cannon Fodder" challenge. Instead, we will try a strategy called Banshee Hunting on the map New Alexandria. Basically, you will load up New Alexandria, on Heroic, with the Iron, Tough Luck, Catch, Famine, and Thunderstorm on. Then you will only fly around kill Banshees and Phantoms. A video guide can be seen right here. Taking any of the Skulls off will make this take longer so have all of them on. You can also do this on Legendary to make it go even faster.
