Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 7/6/13

The Challenges:

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Well, this is the only Firefight Matchmaking challenge today. A meager hundred and twenty kills is about on par with what you will normally see on a day like today for this challenge. A single game in the Score Attack playlist will typically get these kills for you. Either Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack will get this done as both will get you about a hundred and twenty kills in either game. You might fall a bit short so be ready to play an extra game today to finish this challenge off.

Throwing Fireballs - Kill 2 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
It is not often that we see a grenade-based challenge that is so easy, only asking for two kills. You can use Fragmentation (Frag) Grenades or Plasma (Sticky) Grenades to score these kills. Gametype is important and Multi Team has always done the best for me since you have nine targets and all of them are also trying to kill another nine targets. Go for small maps like Countdown (Swordbase is a little too big) and head to the middle. Just toss your grenades as people are attacking each other and you should be all set. This should really only take a single game to complete.

Double Nickels - Earn 2 Killing Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 3000cR
A spree in multiplayer Matchmaking is typically five kills in a row. As this challenge stipulates "Killing Sprees," this means that weapons spree and the like will not count towards this total. One of the best ways to get Killing Spree is to play Living Dead as long as you are a survivor. It is, typically, pretty easy to score Killing Sprees in that playlist as long as you are careful and use the correct weapons are the correct range. You can also try for objective based games and get players as they are going for the objective. Either one should work but might take a game or two to complete.

L.D. ONI - Complete ONI, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 7500cR
On Legendary difficulty, this is typically one of the harder missions. Having skulls on is just bringing it that much close to LASO difficulty as well. Follow this LASO guide for tips and tricks on getting through the mission. Now, this challenge is much easier than LASO since, regardless of what the challenge says, you can die. The trick is that before the final objective, which would be killing the Phantom and Banshees for this mission, if you died at all, Save and Quit the game. Now you can load it up again, complete the final objective, and complete the challenge as the game thinks that you did not die, which is true, in a sense. You did not die during "this" play session.
