Halo 4 War Games Daily Challenges - 7/31/13

The Challenges:
Up Close And Personal - Earn 8 CQC Medals in a single match. - 1400 XP
CQC, or close quarters combat, medals in Halo 4 are very limited and only include the Melee, Bulltrue, and Beatdown medals. You would think that Grifball would be a great playlist for this challenge but Energy Sword and Gravity Hammer kills do not yield any CQC medals, which is somewhat idiotic. However, if you get control of the ball, you can easily score some Bulltrue and Melee medals. I was able to earn six CQC medals in a single game (as well as a bunch of kills and multikills) which is pretty close to having this challenge completed. As you might think, Grifball in Halo 4 will require some transition from Reach, but not much. Timing is about the same, so have fun. You can also try gametypes like Oddball and such to score these medals with some ease. Complete "That's Just Perfect" first.

That's Just Perfect - Complete a War Games match with at least 15 kills without dying. - 1000 XP
We have not had this challenge in about a month. We probably could have gone with going a bit longer, actually. At least it is worth more XP this time, double what it was the last time. Anyway, this will be a complete and utter pain to accomplish. On the bright side, this is unlike a perfection in Reach where you also needed to win the game. Now, you will likely want a large gametype, like Dominion, where you can hang back and just get kills. Small maps do not afford you enough room to hide once you hit the fifteen required kills. You will also need teammates that will give you a lot of opportunities to yank their kills and who will protect you once you need to hide. Unfortunately, this will take a bunch of games to complete so get ready for the long haul.
