The Challenges:
One, Two, Three, Four... - Earn 8 Multikill medals. - 1250 XP
A multikill in Halo 4 is earned when you score multiple kills each within four and a half seconds of each other. These are decidedly less common in Halo 4 than they were in Reach so you really need to set up the right gametype and such to score them. Now, having access to large number of enemies and heavy weapons is a great way to score multikills. Grifball is back so that is definitely an option for this challenge. I am somewhat doubtful that a lot of multikills will be scored when going for the "Infected" challenge due to the playlists you will be in so work on this one first. Eight multikills should take about two or three games to complete.
Infected - Win 4 matchmaking Flood matches. - 1250 XP
So, it seems that we have returned to the "do a bunch of difficult shit, get little reward" version of the War Games daily challenges. What joy! Anyway, Flood is a technically a Free-for-all mode though you will see yourself divided by teams. Unlike Reach, the Flood/Zombies are much more powerful in Halo 4 thanks to the thruster pack and the seemingly longer lunge range of the sword. As well, zombies also have shields so if you are one, hope is not lost. If you have a lot of campers, make use of invisibility so you can surprise them. If you are a survivor, make sure you utilize the Magnum at range and the Shotgun close up. Four matches will take a while to win, but it is doable if you start early enough in the day and keep at it.
The Weekly Challenges:
To The Victor Go The Spoils - Win 15 matchmaking War Games matches. - 5000cR
Let's just be happy we are not restricted to a certain gametype. If you are going for wins, Flood and Regicide are right out as they are Free-for-all playlists. Oddball is a great option because, if you have a good team, you can camp the ball or pass it back and forth to ensure that you keep the ball in your team's possession. For those people who want the fastest gametypes, well, that is most likely SWAT. Kills come in faster and the game can go very quickly on a smaller map. Now, if you have a good team that is coordinated, Oddball can be a very quick game as long as you pick a defensible position and get the ball immediately, as well as utilizing the pass function. This also hold true for Dominion if you can quickly capture all the bases and then eliminate the enemy team. Stay away from Capture the Flag if you are short on time as those games almost always go the entire time. Grifball has returned as well so look to that if it was good to you in Reach. You need to hit about three wins a day to make sure you get fifteen.
That's Just Perfect - Complete a War Games match with at least 15 kills without dying. - 7000cR
Well, now we are having this challenge far too frequently. I would prefer no more than once a month, please! At least it is worth more XP this time, double what it was the last time. Anyway, this will be a complete and utter pain to accomplish. On the bright side, this is unlike a perfection in Reach where you also needed to win the game. Now, you will likely want a large gametype, like Dominion, where you can hang back and just get kills. Small maps do not afford you enough room to hide once you hit the fifteen required kills. You will also need teammates that will give you a lot of opportunities to yank their kills and who will protect you once you need to hide. Unfortunately, this will take a bunch of games to complete so get ready for the long haul.
