Halo 4 War Games Daily and Weekly Challenges - 5/6/13

The Challenges:

The Kill-O-Tron - Earn 2 Multikill medals in a single match. - 800 XP
So, Grifball is still here since it was introduced into matchmaking some weeks ago. Due to that addition, this challenge is easy as hell and will take absolutely no time to accomplish. First off, a multikill is earned when you score multiple kills within four and a half seconds of each other. With two kills this will be a Double Kill but you can take this up to ten kills for a Killionaire (nine multikills). Now, Grifball has you equipped only with Gravity Hammers and Energy Swords. If you have yet to venture into this playlist, it will take some adjustment from Reach, but not much. You can play up to five rounds in a close game so you have plenty of time to score these multikills. Dominion is another options if Grifball does not agree with you. Probably won't even need to go to Grifball for this one, so do the "Infected" challenge first.

Infected - Win 4 matchmaking Flood matches. - 1250 XP
So, it seems that we have returned to the "do a bunch of difficult shit, get little reward" version of the War Games daily challenges. What joy! Anyway, Flood is a technically a Free-for-all mode though you will see yourself divided by teams. Unlike Reach, the Flood/Zombies are much more powerful in Halo 4 thanks to the thruster pack and the seemingly longer lunge range of the sword. As well, zombies also have shields so if you are one, hope is not lost. If you have a lot of campers, make use of invisibility so you can surprise them. If you are a survivor, make sure you utilize the Magnum at range and the Shotgun close up. Four matches will take a while to win, but it is doable if you start early enough in the day and keep at it.

The Weekly Challenges:
One, Two, Three, Four - Earn 50 Multikill medals. - 6250 XP
A multikills in Halo 4 is earned when you score multiple kills each within four and a half seconds of each other. These are decidedly less common in Halo 4 than they were in Reach so you really need to set up the right gametype and such to score them. Now, having access to large number of enemies and heavy weapons is a great way to score multikills. Grifball is back so that is definitely an option for this challenge because it is practically a multikills generator, though somewhat less do to everyone always having sprint. Fifty multikills will likely only take five or so games to complete in the right gametype.

Rolling Thunder - Earn 20 Killing Spree medals. - 7500 XP
A Killing Spree in War Games is earned when you score five kills in a row. As this challenge stipulates "Killing Spree medals" other sprees such as weapon and miscellaneous sprees will not count. Twenty in a single week is not at all a large task as long as you stick to objective games where it is easiest to get sprees. You will need at least three a day this week to complete this challenge but can likely score more. First off, Dominion has been the best gametype for me in terms of getting sprees, especially on Vortex where you can get in a Wraith and just sit back and defend your base while attacking the middle base. I would expect to get two or so sprees per game so this one is pretty much taken care of after a few games. Flood and Regicide can also be good playlists for Sprees as well as Big Team Infinity Slayer if you get lucky and end up with a tank.
