The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
Now that we are on to the weekend, it is typical for the challenges to have you going through every single game mode of Reach. Today is no different. The only challenge that will have you in the Firefight Matchmaking mode, however, is this one. A hundred and fifty kills is a somewhat dubious position, to be honest. A typical game in the Score Attack playlist will get you about a hundred and twenty kills and a game in the Firefight playlist even less. Therefore, expect to play two games to complete this challenge. The second game can be Crashsite as that will allow you to get the kills you need and then end the game by dying or letting the generator explode.
Not as Clumsy or Random... - Earn 5 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
Thankfully, this challenge is very, very easy and should only take a single game to complete. The trick is to make sure that you are using the rights playlist and gametype for the challenge. For our purposes, needing kills with precision weapons (DMR, Sniper Rifle, Needle Rifle, and Covenant Beam Rifle), we will want to play in either the Team Snipers or Team SWAT playlist which use the Sniper Rifle and DMR respectively. Five kills will be easy enough to hit in a single game as you should be hitting ten to fifteen kills per game anyway. One game and then just move on to the other challenges.
Sticky Icky Icky - Earn 3 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2250cR
Sticky grenades (aka Plasma Grenades) are one of the more interesting weapons in the Halo sandbox and we have had them since Halo CE. You need to get three sticky kills with these in a single game. That means that you stick someone and then the grenade explodes and kills them. It does not count if people near the player die from the explosion, it only counts the player you stuck. The best playlist for this challenge is Multi Team since you can get the Elite Slayer gametype where you always spawn with a single Plasma Grenade. In Multi Team you have a bunch of targets so I would try specifically for those. Now, Slayer Pro in the MLG playlist is also an option, but you do not have as many targets. Remember, you need three in a single game.
Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR
I think I can assume that most people who are here reading this have been here for a while and are aware of the tricks and strategies for challenges like this, so I will be pretty succinct for this challenge guide. You should try running through the level Nightfall, using the guide here, with the Thunderstorm Skull on. This skull will upgrades all enemies to their next level, which is unfortunately Ultra for most. Following this guide has you running through the level and avoiding most combat. This should take about seven to ten minutes to complete, maybe faster, and hopefully no stress as the route is pretty simple to run.
