The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
So you need thirty kills today in multiplayer Matchmaking. That sure sounds super difficult. Way to put up a challenge that, like, only a hundred percent of the people playing will get 343i! /sarcasm Now, you will not need to do any extra work for this challenge. The "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge will likely get you damn near eighty to a hundred kills and the "Up Close and Personal" challenge will probably get you around thirty kills. All in all, that means this challenge is taken care of.
Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 60 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2350cR
Automatic weapons in Halo Reach include the AR, the Plasma Rifle, the Plasma Repeater, the Needler, and the Brute Spiker. You will not really get to see the Brute Spike too much in multiplayer Matchmaking so focus on the AR and the Needler. Multi Team has always fared well for me with this challenge since you almost always start out with an AR and everyone is killing each other. This means that picking off kills with the AR is quite easy. This may take five to six games to complete, however, so be ready to put a bunch of time into it.
Up Close and Personal - Kill 3 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Close quarters combat kills are typically kills made via the Shotgun, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Melee, or Assassination. The best playlist in which to get these kills is the Grifball playlist. Grifball will allow you to get all of these kills except for Shotgun kills since there is simply no Shotgun in Grifball. You should be hitting probably around thirty kills per game in Grifball so five kills will take very little time at all. To be honest, you probably will not even need to go into Grifball for this so do it after completing "Now I have a Machine Gun."
On Tilt - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Tilt Skull on. - 1750cR
Well, we have not had this challenge in a year and a half and, even then, we have only had it once before. As usual with any Skull-based challenge asking you to complete a campaign mission, your best bet is to run the mission Nightfall. The mission can be run on Heroic difficulty in under ten minutes. Follow the guide here to see how to speed-run through the level. The Tilt skull modifies the damage tables so you do less damage and the Covenant do more so if you have trouble on Heroic difficulty, speed-running is probable a good idea.
