Borderlands 2: Vault Symbol Locations - Part 3: Tundra Express to Caustic Caverns

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any questions or comments about the Vaults Symbols or Borderlands 2? Post them down below!

So, here is the third Cult of the Vault Guide for Borderlands 2 (Part 1 here and Part 2 here).  Below, I will list all the Vault Symbol locations for Tundra Express, End of the Line, Sanctuary Hole, Fink's Slaughterhouse, The Fridge, The Highlands, and Caustic Caverns.  Video guide is posted below.  Hope to have part four up in a few days.

Tundra Express (2/2)

  1. The first symbol for Tundra Express is located atop the Varkid Observatory, just below the central part of the map.  Go onto the roof and head for the northern section.  The symbol will be on the floor.
  2. The second symbol for Tundra Express is in the norther section of the map.  Look for where the railroad splits into a "v".  In between the "v", there will a metal shack.  On the northern wall of the shack, you can find the symbol.
End of the Line (1/1)
  1. About half way through this map you will travel through some train wreckage and then pass under a bridge with the training burning over top.  The symbol is located on the norther pillar of the bridge.
Sanctuary Hole (1/1)
  1. The lone symbol in Sanctuary Hole is on the top most level.  Near the beginning there will be a metal staircase.  Go behind instead of up it and the symbol will be at the end of the eastern wall.
Fink's Slaughterhouse (1/1)
  1. Fink's Slaughterhouse has only one Vault Symbol and it is located on the upper balcony within the actual arena.  Head the the southwest corner and you will find the symbol on the southeastern side of a pillar.
The Fridge (2/2)
  1. The first symbol for the Fridge is located very close to the entrance on a metal shack.  Go northeast from the entrance and just north of the metal shack are some rocks you can use to jump onto the top.  The symbol is at the southern edge of the roof on the floor.
  2. The second symbol for the Fridge is less than a hundred yards from the first one.  You will come to a bridge with frozen ice on both sides.  Head to the western wall and you should see a wall of sheet metal.  Go behind it and the symbol is visible facing east.
The Highlands (1/1)
  1. There is one symbol in the Highlands and it is a bitch to get to.  Once you have the mission to fire mortars at Overlook to test their shield, head to the Hyperion complex just north of where you first entered the Highlands.  Reach the upper level and cross the bridge.  Head north to the large tower and walk along the ledge around it.  Symbol will be facing northwest.
Caustic Caverns (2/2)
  1. As I said in the video, I fucking hate this place.  Moving on, the first symbol is in the northern most section of the map near where the mine cart is for Minecart Mischief.  In the center of the area, there will be a ledge that goes around a large pylon piece of rock.  The symbol is on the western side.
  2. The last symbol for the caverns is located near the very end and you will need to go through the entire map to reach it, unless you already went through it once.  After you reach Dahl Deep Core 06, you will need to climb a long ladder.  Near the top, you can see a passage way in the opposite wall of the ladder.  Jump just above it and push forward.  The symbol is at the end of the passageway.

Thanks for reading.  Fourth part of the guide should be up this in a few days. (Fourth part is now up!)

  1. Second the comment above, I'm torn with Borderlands though, I had the badass rank reset glitch but have OCD when it comes to challenges and the like...thanks again

  2. It is magnificent how you have contrived to completely expose the theme which you have picked for this peculiar blog entry of yours. BTW did you turn to any other posts as a source of knowledge to complete the whole picture which you revealed in your post?

    1. To be honest with you, your question is a bit over-flourished to the point that it seems you are being fancy and convoluted just for the sake of being fancy and convoluted. I will take stab at it anyway and assume that you are asking what is my source for these locations. Quite simple, me and my friend (who is often enough shown in the videos) took our time and found them on our own.
