The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 5343cR
This is the standard "kill X number of enemies" challenge that we see every day. The other challenges today, however, will likely not get this done for you unless you attempt the Weekly Challenge. Then you may have a shot. Now, if you are short a bunch of kills, my advice is for you to do a quick game in the Score Attack playlist. This can be either 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse or even Crashsite if you need a small amount of kills. Regardless, get to it. These enemies aren't going to kill themselves (well, some might).

Helping Hand - Earn 10 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
You have probably gotten a lot of assists before. You likely called them something else (i.e. "That douche just stole my kill!) or didn't even notice it happened. Whenever you deal at least forty percent damage to an enemy and someone else takes that kill, you score an assist. The larger the number of players and the smaller the space, the more assists you will likely get. This make Multi Team a prime candidate for this challenge though regular Team Slayer can function just as well if you communicate with your teammates. On average, I get about three to five a game so this challenge would take three to four games for me. Might be quicker or longer for you.


Not as Clumsy or Random... - Earn 5 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
As many of you may know by now, precision weapons are my favorite. Trust me, I was salivating over seeing the BR return in that Halo 4 E3 footage. But, to the point, the precision weapons you have to work with in Reach are the DMR, the Sniper Rifle, the Needler, and the Covenant Beam Rifle. You just need five kills within a single game with a precision weapon, which is about half of what you should be hitting on average in a game that features such arms. Team Snipers and Team SWAT are the obvious options but also because they are the best. A game in one of those and you are all set.

Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR

So, if you have yet to complete the Weekly Challenge, you can knock two birds out with one stone today. The Weekly Challenge, which has you running the mission Tip of the Spear on LASO difficulty has the Thunderstorm turned on. Now, the Thunderstorm Skull simply upgrades all the enemies you face, if they can be upgraded, to the next highest tier. This means upgrades to health, damage, shields, and physical armor. Contrarily, you can also do a speedrun of Nightfall and complete the challenge in about ten minutes. See how to here.
