Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 7/5/12 - Firefight Thursday

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3800cR
Well, pretty simplistic challenges today, even if they are somewhat of a grind, but better than the multiplayer Matchmaking challenge which we will probably see tomorrow. This challenge, asking you to score two-hundred and fifty kills, is nothing much to worry about today. Thanks to the "Flat Tire" challenge, you will be playing at least three or four games anyway and should be hitting about a hundred and twenty to a hundred and fifty kills per game. Clearly, this one is taken care of. Move on.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This is by far the easiest challenge of the day and really should be rewarded within your first ten kills. The one of the differences between Firefight and multiplayer Matchmaking is when sprees are awarded. In multiplayer, you get a spree every five kills at the start. With Firefight, you get a spree every ten kills at the start. So, this means you need ten kills and this challenge is completed. This should be especially easy if you are in Firefight Doubles for the other challenges as you have a teammate to back you up.

J.H. Death Machine - Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher. - 2250cR
Down below, for the next challenge, I will be urging you to play in the Arcadefight gametype in Firefight Doubles to help you get vehicle kills faster. Another good reason to do so is because of this challenge asking you to get seventy kills with the Grenade Launcher. One of the loadout in the playlist features the weapon, I believe. Remember to shoot it into groups and to try to catch enemies while they spawn. Should be able to get this done in a single game or you can spread it out among the games you play today. If I am wrong and there are no Grenade Launchers in the loadout, the Elites you face will surely drop some, so grab it from them.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
As per the usual, this challenge will be the most irritating of the day, by far. There is the standard method which you can follow, of playing a gametype like Sniper Attack or Rocket Attack on Holdout by yourself in the Score Attack playlist. However, if you have one other person to play with, there is another option as well, that I stumbled upon recently. In the Firefight Doubles playlist, there is a gametype called Arcade Fight. This one features a bunch of different weapons in the loadout, Sniper included, and goes for a full three rounds. Get it on Holdout and then follow the same basic strategy. You will see about six or seven Banshees per game if you have it last till the final minutes and just split those up with your partner. Expect this to take about three games to completed.
