Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 7/2/12

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
To go with the insanity of the Weekly Challenge, 343i is at least making sure that the Daily Challenges are at least in line with the Weekly, making our live slightly easier. However, some of these challenges are not much easier. This one, asking for a hundred and twenty-five kills, is one of the easier ones though. Through all the games you should be playing today (about eleven hopefully, if you win them all and get the other three challenges done) just maintain about a twelve kill average and you are set. Actually, you will likely score way over this number, so try not to worry about it.

Secondary Fire - Earn 25 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2875cR
You are awarded an assist in multiplayer Matchmaking whenever you deal forty percent damage to an opponent. Getting an assist is likely a regular occurrence in matchmaking for most. Due to the number of games you will likely be playing today, however, do not specifically go for assists. Go for kills, going for the win, and let the assists come as they will. If you average around three assists per game, you will have this challenge taken care of before you even get the wins you need for today.

... Got a Triple Double - Earn 3 Double Kills in the same match in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
So, for those who do not know, a Double Kill is when you score two kills within two seconds of each other. This is the most basic multi kill that you can get and it is also the easiest. Typically, I would recommend heading to the Grifball playlist for a challenge like this but there does not seem to be a real need for that today as you will be playing a lot matchmaking today (and for the rest of the week). Three Double Kills is easily doable in several other gametypes like Team Slayer you will, likely, just have to be patient about it. Remember, to properly buffer your multi kills so you end up with three Double Kills and not a bunch of Triple Kills. Other multi kills will not help you here.

Throwing Fireballs - Kill 7 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2400cR
Call me crazy, but I think that this will actually be the most difficult Challenge of the today ignoring the Weekly Challenge. I really think that Multi Team on a small map with an objective gametype is your best bet for this challenge, but then your likelihood of getting wins decreases dramatically. I would suggest trying for this challenge in more normal playlists while you go for wins and then try for Multi Team afterwards if you still have not achieved this. However, this is really up to you and you can go for it whenever you please. Multi Team is looking like the best option though. Good luck and try to find as many plasma grenades as you can.

The Weekly Challenge:
Play to Win - Win 77 games in multiplayer Matchmaking this week. - 20343cR

Well, the challenges did you, well, challenging today until you glance at this one. This Weekly Challenge is just downright mean. Seventy-seven wins today in multiplayer Matchmaking is really an insane number to ask of players over a week. That is eleven wins a day meaning that you will likely need to play more than eleven games a day in multiplayer Matchmaking just to get this done by Sunday. There is no set method to score wins for everyone but here are some tips to help you along. First off, stick to gametypes with only two teams. Multiple teams and free-for-alls tend to lower the odds of you being on the winning team. Secondly, stick to gametypes with no more than ten players. Larger gametypes like BTB or Invasion have large numbers of players and the result is way less dependent on you and your skill. Thirdly, try to stick to gametypes you know and love as you will likely do better in them. Finally, take breaks every so often. Sitting down and just playing for a large portion of the day can be really bad for you, so get up, move around, and drink lots of water.
