Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/29/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
For once in a long while, you will have to go out of your way to get this challenge done. A hundred and twenty-five kills should not be too hard to hit if you are playing Grifball after you have finished off "I'm Rubber, You're Glue" in a different gametype. You can score thirty to fifty kills a game in Grifball so you can actually get this done quite fast if your games do not end immediately.
Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 100 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
A simple game of Gruntpocalypse will complete this challenge for you. The only weapons you can use in Gruntpocalypse are the pistol and DMR which are both headshot capable weapons. Sparing that you do not over use grenades, you will have about a hundred a twenty kills within which to get a hundred headshots. That is not at all a difficult task and it should take you about a single game which will last about ten minutes.
L.D. Pillar - Complete The Pillar of Autumn, without dying, with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Touch Luck on. - 5000cR
This will be the hardest challenge of the day, but then it does have quite a high cR value as well. Follow my LASO guide for the quickest way to complete this level. And it will be a pain. But, do remember that you can die. If you do die, before the last objective, simply Save and Quit. You can then reload the game and the challenge will be active again. However, if you follow the guide, this level is very doable without dying since shields regenerate and weapons do not have half the ammo they normally do.
I'm Rubber, You're Glue - Earn 1 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
A single game of Multi Team, sparing that you do not get stuck in a game of Rocket Hog Race, will net you this challenge. But you might have to work for it. If you can, try to pick Elite Slayer since you will then have a starting loadout which includes Plasma Grenades. Otherwise, you have to use the ones that spawn on the maps. And you only need a single kill, which is not too bad. I would complete this challenge first and then go for "More than a Handful." This challenge should only take a single game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/28/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1000cR
Nothing to see here. Just another free 1000 credits. You will definitely complete this challenge while doing everything else so pay no attention to it because worry about it is not worth your time. You have much bigger fish to fry.
Supporting Role - Earn 20 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1500cR
I am recommending a new strategy for this challenge today, play Firefight Doubles. Firefight Doubles is two players playing for three rounds (a.k.a. and entire set). Go for a gametype like Snipers. If you stay near your teammate or, god forbid, talk your teammate, you should have no trouble pulling in this challenge in a game or two. As well, if they express interest, help them with their twenty assists. That is how you build lasting friendships, by killing stuff with other poeple.
Return of the Mack - Kill 50 Elites in Campaign today on Normal or harder. - 1700cR
ONI: Swordbase is definitely one of the better levels for this challenge. Simply play through the level and you should have no problem hitting forty Elite kills, you can then replay the very beginning or start on Long Night of Solace to finish off the rest of the kills. You can also play the Covenant Frigate part of Long Night of Solace (Rally Point Bravo) and rack up a significant number of Elite kills.
Double Double - Earn 2 Double Kills in the same match in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1000cR
Just to be on the safe side, play a single game of Grifball to take care of this challenge. You should have no difficulty in hitting two Double Kills in this game type, even if it is a short game. Just do a quick game and the head over to your other challenges since they will take a little bit longer.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 6/27/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1100cR
Thirty kills can be done in about two games will going for the "Pass the Rock" challenge. In terms of getting assists and kills, Multi Team is you best option. Once you have the required number of assists, go back to your Slayer instincts and rack up the kills. As usual, Crazy King is, by far, the best gametype for this challenge.
Pass the Rock - Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Multi Team will be the best option for this challenge. You can easily rack up ten to fifteen assists here per game. Get a small map and a gametype like Crazy King and purposefully, only try to take down an opponent's shield, one of the other eight players will steal that kill from you, I guarantee it unless, of course, you are just playing with absolute gentlemen. Well, this is Xbox Live, so we know that is not true. This should take you two the three games and while going for it, you should have no trouble locking up "Fire When Ready."
Nature vs. Nurture - Kill 15 Moa in Winter Contingency on Normal or harder. - 2000cR
A simply, yet odd challenge. The Moa are the Emu like creatures that you see on the level Winter Contingency. They are also present on Nightfall, but killing those ones will not count for this challenge. It would be hard to get fifteen total Moa kills in a single playthrough. You would be better off just replaying parts of the mission to get the kills. There are three at the beginning you can hit, but to replay that section, you have to go through the whole Falcon ride. Instead, there will be a second set of Moa when you get into your civilian vehicle. Kill the Moa and restart that section to hit fifteen Moa kills.
EDIT: In an interesting twist, the Moa on Nightfall count for this challenge. However, the challenge needs to be completed in a single playthrough, so you are unable to stack the kills from multiple missions.
A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
Lots of easy credits today. This is definitely one of those challenges giving you easy credits. My advice to you, for this challenge, is to load up a game of Crashsite under Score Attack if you want to get it done very fast. Simply get ten kills and then let the Covenant destroy the generator. If you feel like it, and have the time, just play a Score Attack game or Firefight Arcade/Limited and the challenge should unlock as you normally play.
The Weekly Challenge:
Fleet Feet - Complete any Campaign mission on Legendary in 12 minutes or less. - 10000cR
This is an insanely easy Weekly Challenge, thanks to Nightfall. You can just run through the entire level in about five minutes and get this challenge finished. This is a really easy ten thousand credits. Follow this LASO guide to see how to run through the level. Now, if you end up dying during the run, you should have more than enough time to make it through the remainder of the level in under twelve minutes. As well, you can die as much as you want, but you just need to keep the time under twelve minutes.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/26/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1000cR
This challenge will be completed while you are going for every other challenge today. So, as usual with these blanket kill challenges, it is free credits. You will probably get this one done while playing Firefight today. As well, today is also the last day to get the Weekly Challenge of surviving a hundred a fifty waves in Firefight Matchmaking done. See how to do that here.
Survivor - Earn 9 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Nine Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game finally means that we can get this challenge without have to die on purpose. You will want to load up Sniper Attack on a map like Beachhead or Glacier. If you go without dying, you will get six killing sprees (ones at ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, and a hundred kills) and three weapons sprees from the Sniper (those will come at five, ten, and fifteen kills). Use the hiding spots on the map and you should have no trouble hitting nine sprees.
Deathless Alexandria - Complete Alexandria on Legendary without dying. - 2100cR
This mission is not one of the more difficult ones if you are good with the Falcon. The times were you do have to land, sparing the Hospital, major conflicts can be avoided or be reduced to hardly challenging. Without a doubt, however, the Hospital is the hardest of the various sections of this mission. You will get the missions in random order so hope that you get the Hospital last. Follow the LASO guide for ways to sneak by enemies and make you life easier. Remember, that if you do die, just save and quit, and then load up the mission at the last objective for challenge completion.
Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 2000cR
There is probably some initial want on most people's part to try for this challenge when doing "Deathless Alexandria." Do not do it. It is so much easier to just load up Nightfall and run through it for the easy completion. See how to run through Nightfall, here. You can also try for this at the same time as "Deathless Alexandria" but it just makes it much more trouble than it is worth, and supped up enemies do not help your chances for surviving.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/25/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR
This should require only a single game of Firefight Matchmaking. I will still suggest Score Attack for this venture because then you will not need to compete for kills. Try for 2X Score Attack on a large map. You can often end up short on the smaller maps due to poorly thrown grenades by the Covies. This makes larger maps the preferred venue since enemies are less inclined to toss grenades over massive distances. If you do end up short, load up a game of Crashsite and finish off the remaining kills.
T-Hug It Out - Kill 4 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
For this challenge, since you only need four close quarters combat kills, I am recommending that you play Multi Team. If you get a small map like Zealot or Countdown, you should have no trouble getting four melee kills in a game. Gametypes like Crazy King are perfect for this challenge since everyone will be in close going for the same objective. Remember, you need four kills in a single game.
I'm Rubber, You're Glue - Earn 2 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1100cR
Another reason I suggest Multi Team is because it is a great place to get Sticky Grenade kills! And you only need two in a single game for this challenge which is not too hard. Be careful of players with Armor Lock. Get them to use up the Armor Ability first and then stick them with the grenade. Do note that you must stick the player with the grenade, not just kill them with it. A good rule of thumb is, if you got a Sticky Grenade medal, the kills will count towards the challenge.
It was the Winter... - Complete Winter Contingency on Legendary without dying. - 1500cR
Winter Contingency is, typically, one of the easier missions on any difficulty. You can run, or drive, past large parts of the level. To see how and where to do this, check the LASO guide for Winter Contingency. The only part that is at all difficult is the ending. Remember, that if you do die, you can simply save and quit, and then reload the level to complete the challenge. Makes this challenge a whole lot simpler.
Only two days left to complete the Weekly Challenge. See how to here.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/24/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1350cR
If you a lucky enough to win seven games quickly, you will probably end up short for this challenge. Instead, most people might hit very near to this because they will be playing well more than seven games. If you have finished off the "Home Field Advantage" challenge, load up Grifball or Score Attack to rack in some very easy kills and finish off this challenge. Should be a piece of cake.
You Want This, Don't You? - Earn 12 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1500cR
My recommendation for this challenge is to open up the Team SWAT or Team Sniper Playlist. You should be able to score this challenge in a single game. It would be quite difficult in any other playlist, so you will probably want to stick to these two playlists. Remember, head shots are one shot kills in the playlists (Except on Snipers with the pistol) and as long as you are paying attention and know the map, you should be fine in raking in twelve kills.
The Dream Shake - Earn 4 Double Kills in the same match in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Grifball will be your answer for this challenge. Four Double Kills in a game of Grifball is simply child's play. Remember, kill two, and then stop. You need four "Double Kills" not Multi Kills. So after every two kills, pause, and then go out there for another set of two kills. Simply repeat this four times during a game of Grifball and you should be all set. I would also recommend to play some extra games in this playlist to rack up some kills for "Blastin' and Relaxin'".
Home Field Advantage - Win 7 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2050cR
This will be the challenge today that will make you want to bang your head against the wall. Three games is ok, five games is annoying, but seven games will be difficult for most in a single day (Well, night, since most of us probably work). Try different playlists and stick to ones with only two teams. Less teams increases your chances of winning. If you find some really good teammates, stick with them and try to ride out as many wins as you can. Tough it out though, and expect to play way more than seven game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/23/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1125cR
Like usual, this challenge is simply free credit. You need to play through, at least, about five or six games of Firefight. That equals about six hundred kills today. So, that is well over a hundred and fifty. Do not sweat it and it should be completed during your second game of Firefight in whatever gametype you choose.
Killagruntjaro! - Earn 25 multikills in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 1500cR
As you probably already know, a "multikill" is when you get a Double Kill, Triple Kill, Overkill, etc. All of you kills need to be within a second of each other. Remember that a Double Kill is a single multikill, not two. And, if you happen to kit a Killionaire, stop killing stuff and wait. There are no multikills after ten so you would just be wasting kills at that point. Wait a couple seconds and then start up a new set of multikills. My advice for this challenge is to play Sniper Attack on Holdout so you can also get Flat Tire done.
Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1125cR
Sniper Attack on Holdout is your best chance of getting these vehicle kills. One a single game on the map. If you have the time almost expire, you can get, at most, five Banshees to kill. Most likely, however, you will hit about three or four. Sometimes it will only be two. Either way, plan to play multiple games. And if you cannot get Sniper Attack, go for FRG or Rocket Attack which should still be doable. Please note that vehicle kills do not seem to count in 2X Score Attack.
J.H. Death Machine - Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher. - 1250cR
You will have to go for this challenge after you have finished "Flat Tire." Load up 2X Score Attack and one of the weapons you can choose there is the Grenade Launcher. This weapon is also in plain Score Attack. Try to hit clusters of enemies just after they spawn. They do not tend to react immediately and you can score an easy Overkill. Ammo will run out quick so remember to stay near the ammo crates. Otherwise, you will be SOL in terms of getting Grenade Launcher kills. You should be able to knock this out in one game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/22/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
Since you need at least forty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking for "A side of Huevos," that will take care of most of this challenge for you. Ten extra kills will probably pop up while going for the forty precision weapons kills via melee or the pistol. If you have hit forty, still needs ten more, and are completed tired of SWAT or Snipers, pick whatever gametype you wish. It should not be at all hard to hit those ten kills.
A Friend in Need - Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
Same challenge as yesterday, essentially, but just requiring less assists which means less games you need to player. I would seriously advise against playing Arcade Fight in the Firefight Arcade playlist. Everyone just picks Rockets, and no one gets assists. You can do much better getting assists if you go for games like Sniper Attack or FRG Attack, since neither of the prominent weapons in those gametypes do such massive damage.
A Side of Huevos - Kill 40 enemies with Sniper Rifle Headshots in Nightfall on Normal. - 1000cR
This is quite an easy challenge and you can get it pretty quickly if you just keep repeating the first part of the mission. And you will know when you have score a headshot with the Sniper because you will get a the Sniper kills medal. That thing only pops for headshots. The hardest ones to get headshots on will be the Jackals since they use those shields, but wait for them to start running and you should be fine. As well, bump up the difficulty to Heroic so Jun steals less of your kills.
This is My Rifle... - Earn 40 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1300cR
Either Team Snipers of Team SWAT will be your best and only sensible options to complete this challenge. Forty kills should take three to four games and should not give you too much trouble. Do remember that, in both these playlists, headshots are one hit kills. I would also not suggest picking Pinnacle if you are the Blue Team. You will just be spawn camped the entire game. And it is not fun.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/21/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
The challenges today will not be difficult, but are just time consuming. Four hundred kills will take you four games, whether you play Score Attack or Firefight Arcade/Limited. My suggestion would be to do Firefight Limited because you also need to score thirty assists. Pick games like Sniper Fight and FRG Fight on wide open Maps.
Support Structure - Earn 30 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
This will take you about two to three games. It really is not too much trouble but do not waste your time trying this on early Grunts of Jackals. It is easiest to get assists off Brutes and Elites in Firefight, though, once Mythic is on everything is a possibility. Expect to get ten to fifteen assists per game.
The Little Guys - Kill 125 Grunts in Campaign today on Normal or harder. - 1000cR
This is the same challenge we had over the weekend I believe. Load up Winter Contingency on Heroic and playthrough it and on through the beginning of ONI: Swordbase. I died a few times on "purpose" to replay parts that had a lot of Grunts. This should get done during the smaller missions on ONI: Swordbase.
Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 12 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1600cR
This will be a pain for the day. Twelve games in multiplayer Matchmaking on top of all the other challenges. Living Dead is still the fastest playlist. At max, it round about nine to twelve minutes. At minimum, it can last about five minutes. Do not pick maps with lots of hiding spots, because that makes games last longer. Countdown, Zealot, and Asylum tend to be good maps with fast games.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 6/20/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1000cR
Between a single game of Griffball, two games of Score Attack, and a run-through of Tip of the Spear on Legendary difficulty, you should have no trouble capturing this challenge in short order. Like we usually do with these challenge, do not worry about it since it is basically just free credits. Get working those other challenges though, they might take a little bit of time.
T-Hug It Out - Kill 4 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
A quick game of Grifball will get this challenge done for you very quickly. No need to overanalyze this. Close quarters kill are kills at close range with the Hammer, Sword, a melee, or a Shotgun. You only need four and every kill in Grifball will count for this challenge. Enough said.
Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
You know the drill for this challenge. It will take about two games in Score Attack for this challenge to be completed. Like usual, Sniper Attack on Holdout is your best option since it will spawn two to five Banshees per game. Just make the game last till the very end. Do not try it on 2X Score Attack since, it seems, that the increased damage does not let the Banshee kills count towards the Challenge. Do kill the final enemy though, so you get a full five Waves to go towards the Weekly Challenge.
Deathless Spear - Complete Tip of the Spear on Legendary without dying. - 1800cR
This challenge should not be too much trouble because there is a large amount of fighting on this level that you can simply skip. Use this LASO guide to see where you should go and what you should do. I do not know if this challenge is like the LD challenges where you can die as long as you Save and Quit and then reload the game. But this challenge is doable without having to die. Follow the LASO guide and you should be all set.
The Weekly Challenge:
Ride the Wave - Complete 150 Waves in Firefight Matchmaking. - 12000cR
So, this Weekly Challenge is much more doable than last week. It asks you to complete a hundred and fifty waves in Firefight Matchmaking over the next week. Firefight matches consist of Wave, Rounds, and Sets. Five Waves in a round, three Rounds in a Set, and, at least online, one Set in a game. Now, if you do Score Attack, there will only be on round per game. While you will get more kills this way you will not get as many Waves done. So, I am urging you to play with other people in either Firefight Arcade or Firefight Limited.
A game in Firefight Limited or Arcade is typically a single Set. A Set contains fifteen Waves then. If you look at it, you only need to complete ten Firefight Arcade or Limited games this Week. And you can divide that up however you want. A think to note, however, if you have a large map, make sure you pick a gametype that gives you ranged weapons. Fistfight on Outpost will probably not have you completing all fifteen rounds. As well, the Bonus Round does not count as a wave. Sorry.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/19/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1875cR
Considering the "Overlook's Overwatch" challenge, this challenge is simply free credits. Have no doubt in your mind that, if you plan on completing all the challenges today, you will be playing a lot of games. This meager two-hundred and fifty kills is barely a blip on the radar. Get to playing, cause this will be a very long day for anyone trying to complete all four challenges and possibly the Weekly Challenge.
The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1850cR
Over the course of a single day, this is quite doable, but you need to start early. Living Dead has the fastest games, but can be elongated to annoying games on certain maps (i.e. Swordbase, Boardwalk). Grifball is also another great game for quick completion as long as you try to actively score the ball instead of simply going for kills. For those of you who are finishing the Weekly Challenge today, you probably have this challenge well in hand and congrats to you for actually beating that inane challenge.
Overlook's Overwatch - Kill 1000 enemies on Overlook in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR
This should take you about eight games of Score Attack. You get, on average, a hundred and twenty-five kills per game if you kill every single enemy. Many times, enemies will suicide, however, so do not be surprised if you have to load up a ninth game of Crashsite. My advice to you would be Gruntpocalypse and 2X Score Attack when available but Sniper Attack and Score Attack are good alternatives. Overlook is a large map, so ranged weapons are a must if you want to get all possible kills before time runs out.
The Little Guys - Kill 125 Grunts in Campaign today on Normal or harder. - 1000cR
This is the easiest challenge of the day by far. I would load up Winter Contingency and simply playthrough until you have hit the required number of Grunt kills. I would expect this challenge to be completed during Nightfall, but can be done earlier if you reload various checkpoints with multitudes or Grunts. Whether you set the difficulty to Normal or Heroic is up to you.
Last day for the Weekly Challenge

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/18/11
Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!
The Challenges:
Light Far - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1000cR
Between the fifty enemies you need to kill in Campaign and the four wins required in Multiplayer, you should be well on your way to fifty kills by the time those are completed. If you are short some kills, I would recommend jumping into Firefight or Grifball to polish off the remaining tallies. There is a very high chance that you will have this challenge completed before completing the other three so I would not worry about it at all.
Sweep the Leg - Perform an assassination in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
This is doable in any playlist. The only gametypes that I know of where you cannot assassinate people are Halo Ball and Hockey in the Action Sack playlist. Typically, I can also guarantee myself at least a single assassination whenever I player Team Snipers. People just do not pay attention enough in that playlist. But seriously, you only need a single assassination so get behind a player, hold melee, and watch the fun.
Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 50 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today. - 1000cR
A good level for this challenge is the first actual level, Winter Contingency. Set the game to Heroic and only use the AR, Needler, Plasma Repeater, and Plasma Rifle (if you can find one.) All of these weapons count as automatic weapons and will contribute towards the fifty required kills. There should be enough enemies and ammo on the level for you to hit about sixty to seventy automatic weapon kills. Unless you skipped portions of the level, no replay will be required.
Home Field Advantage - Win 4 game in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1600cR
Well, I know that this is everyone's favorite challenge, right? Yeah, probably not, but I am actually nowhere near as annoyed with these challenges on weekends since I will generally have time to play a whole bunch of games. Typically, most of us do not have that time. Either way, you only need for wins today so do not be afraid to try out new playlists or, perhaps, head to Team Objective for the Super Jackpot that is hiding somewhere in there. If you find a winning team, try to stay with them and hopefully it makes that challenge that much easier.
