Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 3/13/12

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
This challenge should be very easily handled by the "A Simple Spree" challenge which is asking you to score a single spree in Firefight Matchmaking., A typical game of Firefight Matchmaking will get you about a hundred and twenty kills. This means that it will more than take care of this challenge for you. Even if you happen to run out of lives and miss a hundred kills, you still have the "Triple Thrill" challenge that will cover the spread for you. Good luck.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR

A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills uninterrupted by death or the end of the game. I will encourage you to complete and entire game of Firefight Matchmaking in the Score Attack playlist as this will complete the "Light Fare" challenge for you. You really should have no trouble getting the spree as you will, almost always, face squads of Grunts first in Firefight. This will allow you tons of easy kills and a very easy spree. Just finish playing through for the other challenge.

Inclement Weather - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic or harder with the Thunderstorm Skull on. - 3000cR
The easiest way to beat this challenge, as usual, is to do a speedrun of Nightfall on Heroic with the Thunderstorm skull on. The level can be run with relative ease and it will take about seven to ten minutes to complete. A guide to run through the level can be seen right here along with a video here. Now, this might take you a couple tries, but it is very easy and you are allowed to die for this challenge so do not be worried if you do.

Triple Thrill - Earn any 3 Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
This will be the hardest challenge of the day as getting sprees in multiplayer is never really an easy task. However, this challenge does not specify that you need to get Killing Sprees, though you very well may need to. I would stick to the Living Dead playlist for this challenge. Basically, if you are a survivor, you will not have much trouble getting kills. Once you hit five kills in a single round as a survivor, you will get a Killing Spree and a Zombie Killing Spree. If that counts as two kills then all sprees count and you only need on more spree of any type. If that only counts as one spree, then you will need to score two more Killing Sprees to complete the challenge.

See the Weekly Challenge here.

  1. For Triple Thrill, using only the shotgun for five kills in a row in living dead should also be a shotgun spree, resulting in theoretically three sprees at once.
