Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 2/8/12

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
You will have no problem hitting the required a hundred and eighty kills today due to the other Daily Challenge. First off, you will likely need to play two games of Firefight Matchmaking for the "Demon" challenge and then you will be playing through the campaign mission "Long Night of Solace." Those, coupled with the ten games you need to play for "Put Your Quarter Up," definitely have you taken care of.

Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2800cR
The best gametype to get Elite kills in Firefight Matchmaking in is 2X Score Attack. You will able to get about twenty Elite kills in a single game as the final wave of all 2X Score Attack games has about twenty to twenty-five Elites. Clearly this will require to games for you to complete but even then you might fall short of forty kills so be prepared for a third game. The AR and the DMR really just tear through the Elites do to the increased damage so there is no real strategy, just shoot 'em.

L.D. Solace - Complete Long Night of Solace, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 8500cR
This is an annoying challenge because the level is so long and is quite difficult on Legendary with these skulls. Mythic doubles the health of all enemies, Thunderstorm upgrades them all, Tilt makes your weapons do less damage, and Tough Luck makes them dodge more often. The trick to this challenge is, however, that you can die as much as you want and still complete the challenge. You will get to the final part of the mission dying as much as you want, then before you meet Jorge behind the Pelican in the hangar, Save and Quit to the main menu. Then you will want to hit Resume Campaign and complete the final objective. You get to walk away with the credits and that is the end of it.

Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 10 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
The trick to completing any number of games in a day is to stick to gametypes that you enjoy and that are fast. Typically, Team SWAT is one of the faster gametypes as players die so easily. Grifball can also be fast but can also be very irritating and long. Take a break in between the ten games and do not try to play them all in one sitting. You do not need to win the games but you just need to complete them so you also cannot get kicked, quit the game, or drop the connection.
