Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 5/9/11

The Challenges:

Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1100cR
You have to play at least five games today anyway for the "Credits for Completion" challenge. As well, you also need to score some "Revenge" medals for the Weekly Challenge. This means that this challenge should take care of itself.

J.H. Death Machine - Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher. - 1250cR
Score Attack, or 2X Score Attack, will be your best option for this since one of the loadouts you can choose has the Grenade Launcher as the starting weapon. You cannot hold a lot of ammo, though, so you will need to constantly go to the ammo box.

Using the Grenade Launcher is interesting in its own right. If you can hit an enemy dead on, you will score a kill. It is not so easy to bounce a round into one however. If you are at the distance where you need to bounce a round to be accurate, aim for a large cluster of enemies to increase your chances.

Credits for Completion - Complete 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1250cR
A simple enough challenge and straight forward. Just complete five games in multiplayer Matchmaking. You should get these easily while going for all of the "Revenge" medals you will need this week. Another "Don't sweat it." challenge for today.

Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1400cR
Two games of Score Attack, or 2X Score Attack, will net you this challenge due to the final wave of about twenty-five Elites in each one. Make sure you keep with Score Attack even after finishing the "J.H. Death Machine" challenge because other gametypes, like Rocket Attack or Sniper Attack, have some Elites at the end, but not enough to get you to forty.

The Weekly Challenge:
Best Served Cold - Take your Revenge on 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 7777cR
This challenge is actually a lot easier than it sounds. Players do not typically keep track of how many "Revenge" medals they get or what are the best game types to get them. Throughout this week you will need seventy-seven of these medals. How do you get a "Revenge" medal, you ask? Simply kill the person who just killed you before anyone else does. See, not as hard as it sounds.

Checking my own personal stats, I get about 1.4 "Revenge" medals per game. While this is a decent number, it will probably need to be higher if I want to get this done in a fast manner. I would suggest playing something like Team Objective where you can rack up a lot of kills and hope that this will increase you total "Revenge" medals as well. Really, you just have to be smart and think about where you opponent was and where he is likely to go. Good Luck!
