Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 4/12/11

The Challenges:

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2000cR
Doing the "Flat Tire" challenge will get you a long way towards this challenge. Four-hundred is one of the larger numbers we have seen but it should get done easily. If you are lucky enough to get Flat Tire done in three games, load up whatever else you want to play and finish this challenge off.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1125cR
The only way to get some sure Vehicles spawns is to play Sniper Attack on Holdout. Still nothing works better. At minimum, three Banshees will spawn but there could be up to four or five. Make sure the game ticks down to almost the final second. The last wave is typically Hunters so you can just run them around the map waiting for Banshee spawns. Will probably take three to four games.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder. - 2500cR
We have had this pop up once or twice before. These Ranger-are what you might call BOBs (Born-on-Boards). Sometime in the next couple of week, I will be doing a guide for all the BOBs and data pads, but for now, here is a really easy Ranger-class Elite to kill. Load up Winter Contingency, Rally Point Alpha on Heroic. This will load you up as you start in the civilian vehicle.

Now, I typically drive a certain pattern when I do this area and the BOB almost always shows up. Here is the route: When you first start, drive straight ahead. At the first settlement you see, take a left into it. Sometimes the BOB will spawn here, but it is not common. Drive through the settlement and then head to your right. Keep going around and just before you get to the stranded Marines, the BOB should charge at you from some buildings. Splatter him to complete the challenge.

Neuroscience - Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1200cR
A simple game of SWAT will get this challenge done. It can be SWAT or SWAT Magnums, and you should still be able to easily hit the required number of headshots. And this definitely does not need to be done in SWAT, though you will have the easiest time of it there. Really, and playlist (Excluding Grifball) is an option but I would imagine Snipers to do well also.
