Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 4/3/11

The Challenges:

One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking.

By the inherent math here, this will take you four games of Score Attack or about three or so games of Firefight Arcade.  This is a grinder, much like yesterday's fifteen games of multiplayer Matchmaking, though nowhere near as severe.  Gruntpocalypse has always been my favorite way to get lots of kills in Firefight fast, but play what you enjoy and nail this one out.

Reward - 2000cR 

L.D. Spear - Complete Tip of the Spear, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on.

This will be a pain and especially since there will be a new Weekly LASO challenge starting tomorrow.  Mythic doubles the health, Thunderstorm upgrades the enemies, Tilt alters the weapon power, and Tough Luck makes them dodge like crazy.  And, even though Iron is not on, you still cannot die.

My advice is to check out my LASO guide for the best way to run through this.  You can surpass the entire mining area fight and, as well, you can take out the AA guns from a distance.  Use your vehicles whenever you can.  As well, you can also check out Tyrant's Mythic Guide over at Halo.bungie.org.  His guide is terrific, give him some well earned traffic.

Reward - 5000cR

Points, Points - Score 20,000 points in a Firefight Matchmaking game

Firefight Arcade will get this challenge done for you.  Remember, we had this challenge a few days ago and Score Attack simply did not yield enough points for the challenge.  I'm not a fan of FRG Fight, but it did work for this challenge on Courtyard.  Any combination of  Rocket Fight and a small map and Sniper Fight and a large map should get the job done.  You should hit the number at least once when going for your  four-hundred Firefight kills.

Reward - 1750cR

I'm Rubber, You're Glue - Earn 2 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.

I personally prefer Multi Team for this challenge.  Tons of targets and, if you pick the right map, lots of closed space.  If you can get Elite Slayer for the gametype, Great!  If not, the challenge is still easily doable but you need to know where the Plasma Grenades Spawn on each map.

On Sword Base, they spawn to the right of the shotgun and below the glass floor under the vent.  On Countdown, they spawn on the symmetrically on the very bottom of the map at the foot of the stairs.  On Pinnacle, they spawn at the rear of the small Sniper tower.
