Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 9/5/12

The Challenges:

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
So, it is my feeling today, that you will not need to worry about this challenge. The reasoning for this is that the "Scoped" challenge is getting you a hundred and twenty kills, "Home Field Advantage" will get you about twenty or thirty, and "L.D. Package" has the potential to get you well more than forty kills. This puts you at, at least, a hundred and eighty kills if not over by twenty to forty. If you do happen to fall short of this, which can happen if you let your real and AI Teammates do all the work, then play a second game in the Score Attack playlist to get your remaining kills. By the way, hope you started the Weekly Challenge yesterday, because starting it now will render you unable to complete it.

Scoped - Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with precision weapons. - 2000cR
I am a huge fan or precision weapons. To me, they are the most useful weapons in Reach and far more versatile than any others. Now, a hundred kills in Firefight Matchmaking is actually really easy to obtain if you know the right gametype and playlist to do it in. For our purposes, the playlist is Score Attack and the gametype is 2X Score Attack. This gametype will start you with a DMR and an AR but ammunition will not be unlimited. Enemies will die extremely fast since you are dealing double damage. All total, you will get about a hundred and twenty kills in this gametype which will have this done in one game. Now, this challenge can be done over multiple games, so you can spread it out if you are playing with friend or just play a lot regularly anyway.

The Challenges:

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Well, like yesterday, you will be playing in all the major game modes of Reach today due to the other Daily Challenges. This challenge, asking you to score at least a hundred kills overall in Reach today, should be easily taken care of by the other challenges as "Demon" will have you getting likely two games worth of Firefight kills, "Cannon Fodder" will have you get about a hundred or so kills, and finally "Cook 'em, Clean 'em!" will likely have you hitting about twenty kills or so. Just relax, do the other challenges, and this one will pretty much take care of itself. No attention needed.

Demon - Kill 30 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2400cR
Elites are really the hardest enemies to kill in Reach but, luckily, there are several ways to make the job easier to the point that, we just need to worry about getting enough Elites. For this challenge, you will want to stick to the Score Attack playlist and, specifically, the gametype 2X Score Attack. In this gametype, the final round will always have about twenty or so Elites for you to kill. This means you will need to do two games of 2X Score Attack to take care of all these kills but the games are normally pretty fast and easy to do thanks to the double damage. Two games and then on to the next challenge.

Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 9/3/12

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
Well, you will be playing in all the major modes today for these challenges and, thanks to the Weekly Challenge, you should probably try to complete all of them. Now, this challenge, asking you to score a hundred and fifty kills in Firefight Matchmaking, will be not at all difficult to complete. You will typically get about a hundred and twenty kills per game of Firefight Matchmaking in the Score Attack playlist. Two games in this playlist and you will be all done. For the first game, go for 2X Score Attack or Gruntpocalypse as those are the two fastest gametypes. For the final game, you can play either of those again or you can try Crashsite where you can get the remaining kills you need and then just die or let the generator explode to end the game.

Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
It is my hope today that, with "The Love of the Game" challenge, asking you to complete seventeen games today in multiplayer Matchmaking, will pretty much take care of this challenge. You would need to average less than three kills a game for you to not get this challenge done. However, you should be averaging about twelve or so kills a game so you should expect this challenge to be completed in about four or five games. If you are not going to complete "The Love of the Game" challenge, then Grifball is a great option which can get you fifty or more kills in a single game, but expect two games.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 9/2/12

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
You should have no issue with completing this challenge today like it is most days again. If you do not believe what I say, just look below at "Cannon Fodder" or the point that you need to play in the Score Attack playlist for the "Survivor" challenge. As well, these kills can be in any game mode of Reach so do not feel restricted if you are not going for the other challenge. Move along now, there are more difficult, or at least time-consuming, challenges for you to look at and get ready for.

Cannon Fodder - Kill 100 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today. - 2250cR
So, if you look a little further down the page you will see a second campaign challenge. However, I would not recommend doing it at the same time as this challenge since the other one is so easily down. Do not worry about it for the moment and just focus on this one. When these challenges say "infantry-class foes," what they really mean are Grunts. The custom challenge work properly in this regard but not these ones. Now, Grunts can be found on practically every level of the game but it is easiest to just start off with Winter Contingency and work your way through. There are several sections with a crap ton of Grunts so do not be afraid to die and start that section over to score more kills. Might take you into ONI: Swordbase to accomplish.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 9/1/12

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2000cR
This challenge is well taken care of today by the other Daily Challenges. Hell, you can just do the "There Are Many Like..." challenge, which has you scoring two hundred weapons with precision kills in campaign, and be done with this one. You simply need a hundred kills in Reach, any game mode you wish. This can be custom games if you really want it but, as I have already said, the other challenges take care of this one. Simply move on and do not worry about this challenge at all.

Explosive Ordnance Distribution - Earn 3 kills with ordnance weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
This will, actually, be one of the hardest challenges to complete today due to the loss of Action Sack in multiplayer Matchmaking. This means we will have to do this the good 'ole fashioned way. Now, a few playlists, like Invasion or BTB, and maps, like Powerhouse, will always have explosive ordnance weapons (Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher, Concussion Rifle, and the Plasma Launcher) on them. You will want to aim for Objective gametypes on the smaller maps with these weapons to maximize your chances of scoring these kills. Now, this will definitely take multiple games unless you get really lucky as these weapons are typically highly sought after in most games. Have patience and try and camp the spawns if need be.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/31/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2100cR
Overall, the challenges today are sporting some pretty low credit values, which is a bummer since you do not even need to play a lot of games to complete these challenges. Regardless, the thirty kills for this challenge should be pretty easy to obtain. I am encouraging you to play Multi Team and Living Dead for the other challenges and, as those challenges can be done in one or two games, that should get you near thirty kills. You should be hitting ten to fifteen kill per game on average, and even more in Multi Team. Just play another game if you need to finish off these kills.

Showtime - Earn 5 assists in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1250cR
Now, you earn an assists whenever you deal at least forty percent damage to an opponent who is then kill by someone else. They call it an "assist", I call it "my kill being stolen". Either way, that is the name of the game for this challenge. Now, the best playlist I have seen for getting assists is Multi Team due to the large number of players and due to the large number of targets and people to steal kills from you. Go for smaller maps that have a large open space, like Countdown, and just hang near the open space taking down the shields and slightly damaging anyone who comes in there (besides teammates of course). You should be able to get this done in a single game and still get a bunch of kills to help with "Fire When Ready."

Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 8/30/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
Unfortunately, today, for the other challenges, you will need to play multiple games so this will not all be done in a single game. Sparing the "Demon" challenge, it probably could have been, but that will take two extra games by itself to complete. Now, a typical game in the Score Attack playlist will get you about a hundred and twenty kills. You only need a hundred kills for this challenge so it seems like this one is well taken care of. Pretty much, just ignore this challenge and move onto the other ones which will actually take effort to complete.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is when you earn ten kills in a row, uninterrupted by your death. You can get up to fifty kills and get five sprees but, after that, things get more spaced out. The next spree comes at a hundred kills and then at five hundred, I believe. You will only be getting about a hundred and twenty kills in any particular game so you will either need a weapon spree (i.e. Shotgun Spree, Sniper Spree, etc.) to complete this challenge, which will not happen in Gruntpocalypse but can happen in 2X Score Attack, or you will need to die on purpose to get the sprees reset. Therefore, I would suggest that you work on this challenge when working on Demon. The double damage will make it easier anyway.
