Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 1/10/12

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
This challenge will be easily completed today as you will likely be playing more than one game in the Firefight Matchmaking playlist for the "Flat Tire" challenge. You typically get about a hundred and twenty kills per game of Firefight Matchmaking if you play in the Score Attack playlist. A second game will push you well over the required a hundred and fifty kills. Not much else to this one.

Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This challenge is always a real pain but, luckily, you only need five vehicle kills today to complete the challenge. You will want to play in the Score Attack playlist and aim for games on the map Holdout. This map spawns a Banshee about every two to four minutes. Make the game last as long as possible to get as many vehicle kills as possible. There are some other things to consider, however. For some reason, any vehicle kills made in the 2X Score Attack gametype will not count for this challenge. As well, Sniper and Rocket Attack are you best bets for quick Banshee kills and FRG is acceptable if that is all you can get.

Leadership Element - Kill 45 enemy leaders in the Campaign today. - 2200cR
In the context of this challenge, you can basically equate forty-five enemy leader kills to forty-five Elite kills. For Elite kills, playing through ONI: Swordbase is always a good option but, as well, you can hit up Long Night of Solace at Rally Point Bravo. Both will generate a lot of enemy leader kills but not by themselves. Either repeat the missions for more kills or continue on to the next mission. However, the next mission after Long Night of Solace is Exodus, which has no Elites.

The Magic Number - Complete 7 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
The other challenges today are not too terribly hard or time consuming but all together, with this challenge, you do seem to have a long day of Halo. Play games you enjoy and try for games that also take a short time to complete. Team Slayer is always a good playlist to hit but Team SWAT, on the smaller maps, always tend to have shorter games. Overall, seven games can take a hefty portion of the day so make sure you have time set aside.
