Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 1/3/12

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!  Sorry about yesterday, but I have the Weekly Challenge listed below as an apology.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
This challenge is taken care of by the "Just Holdout" challenge. That challenge is asking you to get a hundred and fifty kills on the map Holdout in Firefight Matchmaking. "Covenant-cide" is asking you to get a hundred and twenty kills. Therefore, doing one will get you the other and you do not have much to worry about.

Just Holdout - Kill 150 enemies on Holdout in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2500cR
Holdout is not exactly my most favorite map, which is probably due to all the time I have spent on it trying to kills Banshees for those "Flat Tire" challenges, but it is an easy map. Now, typically you will get a hundred and twenty or so kills in a Firefight Matchmaking game if you play in the Score Attack playlist. Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack will be great for the first game as it will go very fast. For the second game, you will likely only need about thirty kills. You can either play a full game or, if you are lucky enough to get it, play a game of Crashsite and you can simply die or let the generator explode once you get all the kills you need to end the game.

It was the Winter... - Complete Winter Contingency on Legendary without dying. - 3000cR
Like the others today, this is a very easy challenge. Not only is Winter Contingency one of the easier missions, but you can also run through large portions of the level without fighting anyone. To see where and how to run through the level, look at this LASO guide. Now, you can die as much as you want. With these challenges all you have to do is Save and Quit at the last objective, Resume the mission, complete the objective, and it acts as if you never died.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 5 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2343cR
I'm encouraging you to play Grifball for the Weekly Challenge and, by extension, that will take care of this entire challenge since almost all the kills you get in Grifball are close quarters combat kills. All kills with the Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, or melee via the ball count as close quarters kills. Five is significantly less than what you will likely get in an entire game so, as I said, this challenge is taken care of.

The Weekly Challenge:

All in a Week's Work - Kill 500 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking this week. - 20343cR
All in all, this is a decently easy Weekly Challenge. Yes, five-hundred kills does seem like a lot, but not over a week. In fact, it comes to just seventy kills a day. You can get that in two to three Grifball matches. You can likely get this challenge done by Wednesday or Thursday if you made a big dent in it on Monday. Really, this is a simple Weekly Challenge and as long as you hit about seventy to seventy-five kills a day, you should have it done the end of the week or earlier. Get to hammering.
