Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 7/18/11

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 1350cR
You should have no problem hitting a hundred and eighty kills today due to the games you will need to put in for the Weekly Challenge "Like a Record, Baby" and due to the other challenges today. You will be hitting well over seventy-five kills with "Blast Radius" and you will also incur some kills while attempting to complete the "Came From Behind" challenge. The rest will be mopped up by the Weekly Challenge.

Came From Behind - Perform 2 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1100cR
Team Snipers has always been my go to playlist for this challenge. In terms of gametype, Snipers Pro takes away radar and leaves you with only the Sniper, no pistol. Players in this gametype tend to spend more time looking down the scope and much less watching their backs. This gives you ample opportunities to get behind them and introduce them to your combat knife. If you have trouble getting two in a game, try to hid and nail enemies as they pass by.

Blast Radius - Kill 75 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades. - 1250cR
This will probably take you about two or three games to complete. The really issue in securing this many grenade kill is the lack of grenades until you start killing stuff. You should be able to hit thirty or so a much if you focus on using only Grenades. I would stick to Gruntpocalypse until a majority of this challenge is completed. Once most of it is done, I would play a two or three games in Firefight Arcade to help along the "Like a Record, Baby" Weekly Challenge.

Mostly at Night - Complete Nightfall on Legendary without dying. - 1700cR
The fact that this level is still being used for challenges is kind of curious, but it is the easiest level to beat on any difficulty. You can simply run through the entire level with only really needing to stop once. Use this LASO guide for the route to run through the level. This should take about five minutes and that is why the credit value for this challenge is so small. Follow the LASO guide and you should have no issues.

The Weekly Challenge:
Like a Record, Baby - Complete 75 Rounds in Firefight Matchmaking. - 8000cR
Do not kid yourself, this is a large amount of games for a single week. The challenge requires you to complete seventy-five rounds in Firefight Matchmaking. Five waves comprise a round, and three rounds comprise a set. This means that games in the Score Attack playlist are one round. All other Firefight games, in Matchmaking, are three rounds.

If you only play Firefight Arcade, this will take you twenty-five games to complete, assuming that every round is completed each game. Over seven days, that is four games a day. Now, for doing challenges, however, it will sometimes be much easier to play Score Attack and then throw some games of Firefight Arcade in afterwards. Take today and find out what combination works for you and you should have little trouble hitting seventy-five rounds by the end of the week.
