Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 4/3/12

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 4000cR
The other challenges today have you playing Campaign and multiplayer Matchmaking. However, those are not the best avenues for completing this challenge which is asking you to get four hundred kills in any game mode. Firefight is your best option for this challenge and, more specifically, the Score Attack playlist. Basically, games in the Score Attack playlist typically give you about a hundred and twenty kills per game. This means you will need about three to four games, depending on the kills gained for the other challenges, to complete this challenge.

Just a Shower - Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on. - 4000cR

The Thunderstorm skull will only do one thing to the gameplay as it will upgrade all the enemies that you face in the Campaign. This can definitely make section of the campaign with Elites much harder and even Grunts will take two headshots now instead of one. Nightfall would be a really easy mission for this as you can just run through the entire level using the guide located here. You can also run through most of Winter Contingency as it is easy too.

Sweep the Leg - Perform an Assassination in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR

To perform and assassination in any mode of Reach, you need to come up behind your opponent and then hold the melee button to initiate the assassination animation. You do not have to complete the entire animation, but you need to complete most of it to score the kill. If you do this on any sort of incline, you will do the animation must faster than on a flat elevation. Team Snipers is always a good playlist in which to score assassination, but this can be done in practically any gametype. You just need to score one.

Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 40 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1300cR

Multi Team is likely your best option for this challenge due to the fact that you always start with an automatic weapon in most cases. As long as you are on a small map, there is always a lot of damage being dealt out fairly quickly in Multi Team that should allow you to use the AR, Needler, Plasma Rifle, or Plasma Repeater quite effectively. Forty kills will not be taken care of in a single game, so expect about two or three games to reach this number. Also go for an assassination if you can for the "Sweep the Leg" challenge.
